What we should focus on ...
... here's a quote I'd like to share ...
The angels remind you to focus only on your desires, not upon your fears, so that you attract the former, not the later.
Well ... I forgot about this the last time I worked, which was Thursday. Before I started working the floor a dancer was telling me about the bust the night before at OG (Vegas). My paranoid side kicked in high gear and ALL I could focus on was vice. So for the next 6 hours all I could think of was that each custy I was trying to hustle was vice. WTF?! I totally had my head in my ass! I couldn't focus on making $$ ... and by the 6th hour at work I only had 3 dances because I got so paranoid that I couldn't hustle for the VIP 3/$100 (which is what I like to focus on). By hour 7 I was in tears. The housemom consoled me the best she could and told me not to worry. I picked myself up ... threw my hands in the air ... said fuck it to myself ... got on the floor and was determined to have fun w/ a custy and lap dance as I normally do. I met a super cool local ... had a blast ... and left work in a positive frame of mind ... whew!
So the moral of the story is ... FOCUS on our DESIRES ... make $$ and have fun at work :) Oh ... and don't listen to other dances re: negativity and drama ... not good.
Re: What we should focus on ...
I think us Vegas girls have shared enough info with eachother about lawyers and what our rights are to be able to have confidence. It is important to be aware and reach out to others and share wisdom which we have done. Confidence is just as important as wisdom.
Like some of the other girls have said... as long as we know our rights they will leave us alone. Robert Starrs website says "we have the right to earn a living without sacrificing our dignity or earnings" Why should we have to be paranoid to do what is our job? The answer is we don't! Lets face it... we can create more trouble for them when they do things like sexual harrasment and creating a hostile work environment, which goes against our rights.
There are enough people complaining about this situation; not just on this site, but on other sites as well. There is power in knowledge and power in numbers and we have both. Now we just need to display confidence.
The paranoia thing has been a huge struggle for me too. Since I found out about that good lawyer I've been forcing myself not to let those bastards push me over the brink. I need to work. Plus I have found a lot of support and encouragement on this site. Tonight is going to be my 5th night this week. :) (this is after months of barely working because of fear)
What is really interesting is that when I woke up today I was watching a cartoon about having confidence. And now I have this good saying to think about tonite at work. THX :)
Re: What we should focus on ...
Thank you for the reminder. ;)
I usually ignore people when I hear stuff like that. Do you ever hear "I think I just danced for a cop".
You have to separate anxiety from fear. I just read up on some Gavin de Becker stuff the guy who wrote The Gift of Fear.
Anxiety is being paranoid about things that cannot do you any harm (harping, pining, worry) and fear is in the immediate presence of danger.
An example of anxiety is watching the aftermath of a plane crash and starting to think about it even though you are 3000 miles away.
The bust was the night before. That was at least 12 to 24 hours away from you. ;)
When girls say "It's shitty out on the floor." or "There are no customers." you have to find out for yourself.
Unless someone says "that is a cop for sure" don't bother listening to the negativity.

I'm sorry but I don't understand- why would you be worried about vice? I dance in portland so it might be a diff situation, but here you would have nothing to worry about unless you are giving an illegal dance...
there was a cop who used to come to one of my clubs once a month or so UC, we figured it out eventually, but he always tipped well and got dances so I actually liked him coming in, had nothing to worry about because I give a perfectly legal lapdance.

If you really want to know why Vegas girls are so scared of vice just look at the "Vegas Vice" thread. Then you will understand why a lot of dancers out here currently have so much anxiety about vice.
I have received a lot of emotional support from this site in dealing with the current problems we have here in Vegas. I'm sure that any of the Vegas girls can benefit from this encouraging thread.
