Black hair with blonde UNDERNEATH on asian
I've seen many people successfully pull off the blonde hair on top of dark brown or black hair...but they weren't asian. I don't find that many asians can actually pull off having blonde hair close to their faces...if they have black with highlights AWAY from the face, it looks way better than blonde framing the face, but still it sometimes doesn't work.
I'm wondering how reversing the whole blonde over black look would work on me. I know that I could just make some clip in extensions w the preferred shade of blonde, but I don't want to buy blonde extensions and never use then for anything else if they don't produce the desired results.
So, what do you all think? I can't find many pics on the internet, so if anyone has a link, please share!

I think it would look good if you could get your hair blonde and not orange :)

Use a good toner after bleaching to take out the orange/brassy effect.
I'd advise to go to a salon but if you are going to do it at home this girl on youtube has some great tips.

I think it would only look good if 1) your skin were very tan, not porcelain colored! and 2) you actually got your hair BLONDE, not orange or copper-- which always happens no matter where I get my highlights done.
I just stick with black hair now, personally I think it looks better.
If you want to change your hairstyle up, I'd just go with a fringe bang across your forehead or something like that.
Re: Black hair with blonde UNDERNEATH on asian
I tried the fringe bang thing, but it doesn't really look too good on me - not that it looks bad, but it's just not as becoming as other styles. Oddly enough, after looking at some people's faces today, I am starting to think that people with specific shaped heads (not sure what exactly, at this time), and BIG EYES (key factor), tend to look better with hair OFF their foreheads, raised a big. The majority of people who have average size or smaller eyes look better w/fringe bangs or more hair on their foreheads in a dif style. I could just be imagining this, though lol.
That being said...
I'm not super tan in the face, but I'm not pale, either.
I def can get blonde highlights with this one lady who's done my hair before - so it's a sure thing with that...then once I use my purple shampoo from Sallys, they really turn a nice ash blonde.
Also, I'm guessing this may make a difference - my overall style is a little on the more "playful" side, usually (if I'm not working a non-dancing job or at school). I wear a lot of Hello Kitty things and hot pink. I have funky nails most of the time when I choose to spare money for designs...basically, I am not very serious and/or sophisticated looking much of the time. So yeah, I'm not intending for this look to be "glamorous" in the typical sense...I guess I want a more funky look that I can still "hide" (by putting my hair in a low folder over ponytail), another good thing about the blonde being on the bottom. Eventually, I want to dye over the blonde in pink, too!
