My question is inspired by posts about the economy, some recent club closures and other news stories.
What area was your club in, and why did it get shut down?
What were your thoughts on the whole deal.
Did you or did you not like your club?

You'll probably get posts from women in Seattle. I read how several of the clubs in their town were shut down. Some of the posts were so sad and I genuinely felt really bad that so many dancers and staff will be out of work.

I think the owner of my newest club is considering selling it. The owner of the Men's club was there talking 'business' the other night. This is in North Carolina.
Seriously, I made like 8 bucks saturday night with only 8 or 9 girls there. It makes me sad because it's one of the cleaner clubs around and I love it in all other aspects. It's probably losing money simply because it's clean and they don't put up with extras etc. :( There were literally two guys that walked in the door all night Saturday.
My hometown club lost their liquor license for a few months, but that's probably a different story.
Almost every club I ever worked in has been closed. Let's see:
One club I worked at (worked at the longest) was closed down because of prostitution (after I quit). While I was there the club became a byob club because they lost their liquor license. The quality of dancers went down.
Another club was closed because the owner died. The building was razed to become part of the town's library.
Many other clubs were closed because of fighting with various towns. In a few cases clubs were closed right after they opened. One club I was going to be both the house mom and a "feature dancer", meaning that during certain times I'd put on shows and likely wouldn't do private dances. I was thrilled until the club opened ONE DAY and the next was closed. Another club was reopening and the owner offered me a job. This was a club in downtown Chicago (would have been the only nude club I would have danced at). It never reopened.
Then there was the club I got a dancing job around Christmas. Kind of a sleazy club but the owner was pretty laidback and I made good money being a clean dancer (and because it was right before Christmas). I was thrilled with the money and didn't have to hustle. The owner was planning on taking everyone to the casino down the street (girls had been here years in some cases). Anyway a week later I pull into the parking lot and see all these cops. Turns out the owner was killed in a driving accident that day and the club was closed. This was a week from Christmas and you could see all the decorations in the window (the owner was talking about seeing his grandchildren). This was so sad because just when I found a club for awhile and then this happened.
Many other clubs just closed and not sure why.
I used to work at a club that is now in the process of losing their liquor license and possibly shutting down......last I heard they were going to trial but I haven't been able to dig up any dirt. I have heard it's business as usual there, but I've also heard they've alrready shut down.....rumors flying everywhere, I am curious though so I guess I gotta just drive by myself.
There was a sting there last July and we were all issued tickets for not having a license.....when we didn't need one. Cops busted in, detained us all in the DR, all for nothing...we were issued tickets that got cancelled before the court date. I personally think it was a cover up for something else like prostitution.....which needed to happen because there was full sex in the VIP and also girls leaving with customers back and forth all night. USA Sex Guide verified my suspicions.....someone sent me a link to it from here. There are tons of guys on there chatting in forums about "take out orders" (which is code for prostitutes working at the club that will go off site)
I quit after that fake sting, and after I did there were 2 homicides there and a huge drug bust. It was funny, we were watching the news and 2 dancers and 2 bouncers mug shots came up on the screen....it startled me cause I recognized them.
I do not know how I made it through a year and a half as a non-extras girl at that place. It's only now I realize how bad it really was and it's almost not real that I worked there, it's like a bad dream I had.....I just had to have my mental blinders on at all times to make money and I guess I numbed myself to the fucked up shit going on there in the process!!
Oh I forgot to answer these!!
It's on the southeast side of Tucson, in an alright neighborhood, not ghetto but not the best either.
They deserve everything they get. I don't feel sorry for any of them. I don't know how I lasted, I guess I was just doing what I had to do. If I come from the experience with one thing, it's that I know I will never lower myself to working at such a fucked up place ever again. It also toughened my skin and tought me lifelong lessons about trusting people.
I liked, even LOVED that club on the good nights......nights where I scored the one whale in the club that wanted ME because I was NOT an extras girl......and reflected it in how much he'd spend. I actually had some of the best customers I've ever met at that club....I only wish I had kept in contact with them. The flipside is, bad nights were really bad. There were many nights I'd come home in tears over being forcefully groped, licked, manhandled, feeling violated and management wasn't on my side. The bad nights there were BAD. Or when I'd have to see full sex in the VIP with no condom.....that made me sad.
It was a true love/hate relationship.
Well, StripperHacks you already know my story for the most part, but here goes:
What area was your club in, and why did it get shut down?
My club is the Seattle Lusty Lady. It closed because of the bad economy. Peepshows don't make much money anymore. Also, the Washington Mutual bank nearby closed so that took some good regulars, and the internet has the convenience of home without horrendous downtown Seattle parking.
What were your thoughts on the whole deal.
I'm really bummed that this Seattle landmark is going away. I'm a bit upset though because a lot of people are talking about how much they'll miss our marquee, but they never came inside and supported us financially. I'm also concerned for some of the dancers, I know they'll all find other jobs (most will not be stripping again however), but they were really attached to this club. I'm going to miss have female management too.
Did you or did you not like your club?
I loved my club always. Yes there are awful costumers but the girls are wonderful, and it really is like a big family (literally in some cases).
YUP I have and caught alot of shit about it because of my post, but ANYWAYS, my club was in north carolina, closed due to getting bought out by some dick head. And they decided to get rid of everyone---including the bartender. My thoughts were I'm fucking pissed off that there wasn't a prior notice, or ANYTHING. I did like my club because it was easy money, and I didn't like it because it really needed renovations.
But I'm happy enough to go back to the DC area to make money, because down here... um NO.
I worked in a club that was shut down for un paid taxes.I loved that club too. the owner loved me and I could do just about anything I wanted .I also had a ton of regulars there.they use to call me the queen of the spurce. had my own privete vip room, no other girl was allowd to use. it was great.I was so well situated there I did not know what to do with myself afrer that.floundered for a while and finally landed on my feet with a new club
AAH! Well, found out some info.....not getting shut down after all. They still have their liquor license, but one more strike and they are out. They're running a tight ship over there....a whole new set of rules and the door on the VIP has been taken off. Not sure what business is like, very curious to find out.
^Where in NC are you located...DC, hmmmm that could be interesting.
I'm frustrated as hell with NC clubs too. I'm curious which club closed though. Pm me! :D
Jaguars Las Vegas (now Ricks) got shut down cause of corruption charges. It was a great club. I loved working there. However I have heard the stories about what happened to the Eastern European girls who "worked" at their sister clubs.
Crazy Horse Too Vegas got shut down. Also a very good club but a little rough for me cause I was used to Jaguars which was really nice. The owners went to prison cause of criminal charges.
Mens Club Vegas (now Badabing) shut down cause they weren't paying the cabs and did not have the business to be able to compete. I loved the Mens Club. Best place I ever worked.
Seamless Vegas shut down (now dejavu). Don't know why maybe for the same reason as the Mens Club. Also a little rough compared to other clubs I have worked for.
Penthouse Vegas (now CH3) shut down cause they taken over by Scores and the managers were committing crimes. So they got shut down for criminal charges also.
It was good at first till I started hearing about girls getting their VIP money stolen by management when the custy payed w a credit card. Managers who steal from employees/independent contractors is obviously a bad situation.
