Right now I'm really into Buddy Holly. he was such a pioneer in alot of ways. His was a life cut wayyy too short, with great potential lost. Anybody have any favorite rockabilly/early rock singers or groups they like?

Carl Perkins is pretty famous for old rockabilly. I love rockabilly, too. Let me have a nose through my iTunes...
I like some of the Stray Cats material.
Wanda Jackson!
I LOVE rockabilly as well as Psychobilly... I used to dance to Stray Cats and Rev. Horton Heat and I think I've done a Gene Vincent tune once. As far as Psychobilly goes, I've danced to Nekromantix, Tiger Army, and Horrorpops. I also love country and would try to sneak in Hank III until I got it banned from the club. o_O I'm unconventional.
Our old bouncer used to call Tiger Army's 'Hechizo de Amor' the 'taco' song lol. I think the Stray Cats song I usually did was Stray Cat Strut, and I did the Reverend's 'It hurts your Daddy bad'... so wrongfully sexy. I would dance to Elvis or Johnny Cash if I'd find a DJ that would let me. :D
Fave modern rockabilly:
Rocket 350
Hollowbillies
Batmobile
3 Blue Teardrops
Hillbilly Hellcats
Mike Ness (LOVE HIM met him in person, le sigh!)
And whoever else I already mentioned!
I am hooked on the doo-hop group from the 1950's called The Platters, I know they are not rock and roll, but in my opinion definately some early pioneers for R&B and Soul music.
For rock and roll pioneers, I am a very dedicated "Doors" fan, hands down...
here's a great early rockabilly artist that never really got into the limelight. i believe he was on Sun Records too, like Elvis and Johnny Cash.
