Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
I want to hear from you! Do you exist? Even if you aren't exactly a thousands-of-dollars a week earner but feel that you do really well.....like at least 600-800 a week.
Can you tell me what you look like (pics?), Where do you work, what kind of customers do you attract? (Disclaimer: I am NOT trying to steal anyones style or customers....besides I doubt many of you are in Tucson anyway ;)) What is your hustle? HOW do you keep your customers attention on YOU and your sexiness instead of the body art? I am having a really hard time selling multiple (meaning 2-3 or more) dances because all guys want to do is ask questions about my tattoos.
I'm just searching for insight,
I have been struggling lately with the whole idea of heavily tattooed girls never being able to make as much money as "girl next door" types. I've been beating myself lately about certain tattoos that I have, especially when it seems that the girl-next-door types have been the ones draining the room and us tattooed beauties can't seem to keep up. Since laser removal is out of the question (I did my research, no go.) I am gonna have learn to work with what I have.
I know that at the end of the day it is all a sales game and anyone really has the ability to be a "top earner" I just feel that as a heavily tattooed dancer I am gonna have to work way harder and spend more time perfecting my hustle to really make the kind of money that will get me ahead.
Many thanks ahead of time,
C

Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
Yes, we exist lol. I'm not always a top earner (thats reserved for my silicone implanted barbie doll friend) but I don't do less than $ 600 a week. On a really, really good night I will be purring like the cat that got the poor little twit of a canary.
I spend most of my time at work sulking and reading a book. 9 times outta 10 a customer will wave me over and ask what I'm reading. I tell him to give me $ if he wants me to put my book down. It usually works.
Most of the time, I make my $ because of my tattoos. Customers are curious and I make them pay for that curiosity. I also make most of my money off the crazy fetish types. Selling soiled underwear, beatings, humilation, are normal requests for me.
I do not advise my hustle for anyone. I am a straight up bitch. It is an abnormality and I'm just damn lucky.

Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
I am heavily tattoed (I do work in Portland, so that probably helps), and I did have a hard time making money at first. This was, however, more due to the fact that I didn't know how t hustle:). Now I do consistently well. I try to be overly personable since I know some customers can be intimidated at first (I have had people say "I thought you were scary at first, but you're so nice" lol.Like we eat small children or something), and a lot of people actually like tattoos. It does get irritating when they ask you the standard "Did that hurt" or"what does it mean"-makes me want to scream. I try to gently point them in the right direction again by saying something like "Let's talk about that in a bit, right now I want to be sexy for you" or some such thing. I have noticed that a lot of ladies think they make no money because of being tattoed-I do think it can be harder, but nine times out of ten it is not because of your physical appearance. More of this seems to be due to the fact that they don't know how to hustle, or don't want to talk to customers. I know that was the problem in my case. It can be harder for us compared to the barbie dolls, but a lot of times I will bank BECAUSE I am tattooed and people don't want to see the same barbie doll everywhere they look. I also often make more than the "barbie dolls" because I work the floor instead of sitting in the dressing room, and also because I am very friendly.

And yes, what tempest666 said-the fetish types are drawn to us like moths to the fire, lol-and they are so much easier to please than your standars strip club customer, at least in my experience.

Oh believe me I know! }:D A couple of weeks ago I made $500 in 5 minutes beating the shit out of the lead singer of NOFX, Fat Mike. He came into the club with a whole bag full of crops, nipple clamps, whips, you name it. He tracked down the DJ and pointed at me. lol not bad

I have quiet a few tattoos, but I balance it out with a more strippery appearance all over. Kind of like :eyeroll: the Rock of Love girls. It works really well for me. Confidence and hustle work wonders, though.

On that note, I sucked Brett Michael's dick in 2002 before Rock of love came on and I was a wee bit underaged. }:D Cocaine and 2 hot chicks making out work wonders on security!

We all have our bad days, though. I can't stress that enough, particularly with this economy.

Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
I've only seen one dancer with sleeves make a ton of money.
Honestly I think most guys were naive and thought it was part of her costume.
Other than her I've not seen a single girl with a lot of ink do very well.
Most of the clubs I've worked in there are minimal tattoos. It's not that you can't work there it's just that the tattooed ladies don't do very well and move on. The ones that I know make some money but don't charge much and are over the top.
It's not that they aren't good sales people (I don't think) it's just that the majority of men who spend money are not interested in tats.
Unless you have regulars that are really into you I'm not sure how it plays out.
Someone mentioned Portland. It seems like every single dancer is covered in ink!
Are there clubs in PDX that are tattoo free? How do the girls do down there.

Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
I'm sure there are girls who do very well, but in the few years I've been dancing, the tattooed girls where I work - while VERY beautiful girls - just never made as much. The girls who did the "Rock of Love" look which combined the tats with a really stripper appearance seemed to do a little better, but that was a sleeve and a couple other tattoos, not "Kat Von D" covered in them.
I want a ton of tattoos. I have most drawn out - and as much as I hate it, I'm not going to get them. I have a hard enough time making money with Betty Page bangs and VERY pale skin that I don't need tattoos making it harder.
I have 4 small ones I want, and once I get those (well, I have one of them. Three to go.) I'm done until I'm retired from dancing.

I want to know this as well! I'm moving to Portland and have no tattoos, so I'm worried this might be a detriment... While here I'm one of the top earners for being so 'innocent' looking, maybe in Portland that innocent non-inked look will be bad? :-/

Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
I have A LOT of ink and my clientele base are early 40's white businessmen. They very rarely talk about my ink ... it's NEVER and issue. I'm usually busy talking their heads off or lap dancing the hell out of them ... LOL. I love my clientele base ... well when they're in the club ... they're always the most generous $$.
I find custys that ask about my ink ... especially custys that stop me while I'm walking around ... are the ones that do NOT spend money so I answer quickly and walk away as fast as possible.
I do NOT worry about whether my ink affects my money or not. I got my ink for ME. I love being a stripper and am a great entertainer. I focus on work and keep forging forward.

Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
About the Portland thing-it is certainly not a detriment to not be tattooed here. A lot of guys (most?) still love the "girl-next-door" look. It's more like in Portland, it won't really hurt you to be tattooed because so many ladies have them. And most clubs have at least one tattooed girl. However, at the club I am at now I am the only heavily tattooed dancer, and in general I would say we still have to try a little harder. There are a few clubs that have mostly tattooed ladies because they cater to that crowd, and it's superawesome to see some chick with a mohawk and sleeves make bank there. Makes me feel more normal, lol! So come down to Portland, you'll do great.

Total threadjack but my fave song to dance to is "Tattooed Dancer" by Ozzy. Cliched but amusing

Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
i'm heavily tattoed. i got them before i started dancing... i have a reeeally hard time making money down here in the south. i see non tattooed dancers making more money than me dancing for 'rockabilly' type guys when they only buy one dance from me. i can actually carry on a conversation about music, rat rods and bikes, but god forbid you choose me. :/ i'm investing in dermablend. my client base is usually young military guys or fetishists... other than that, guys that are too drunk to tell i'm covered in tats.
-
Re: Heavily Tattooed "Top Earners"/ High-dollar earners???
I actually do decent. Even with the older guys. They're actually really good conversation starters too. I am a very sweet girl with demon/skull tattoos, guys always ask about that...lol
I have run into guys who are just not into it at all, but that's their loss. :P

AdventureBaby, you are my HERO! These are words of wisdom. This is exactly what I am trying to strive to be. I've actually had a good amount of the type of customers you describe above, but unfortunately they have been alot less than I'd like them to be. My goal is to try to sell myself better to these types. I hate to say it, but most guys with tattoos who pick the tattooed dancer rarely spend alot of money. I don't know if it's my area, but I have actually learned to avoid tables of tattooed guys, cause they have been nothing but time wasters and assholes to me. I can't sell multiple dances to them, they usually only get one. They also want to sit and talk, buy me a drink but not pay me for it. Time is money, and the "older", business/non-tattooed type guys understand that.
I keep myself in peak shape and go out of my way to look like an 11 out of a 10 every night, to make up for the fact I have a tattoo I regret fucking BAD. I also wear fishnet tops to cover that tattoo so it's not the first thing people notice, it works pretty well and I can usually get 3 or so dances out of them before I have to take it off cause I am hot or, they request me to. But then, as soon as it comes off there goes the tattoo questions and the dances stop. Should I not wear them? That way it's not so surprising when I take it off?

The "rockabilly" guys in Tucson, never were big spenders, plus the scene is so small here, most of the time I avoid anyone who looks rockabilly because they probably know my husband. Pretty much if you are a greaser or rockabilly in Tucson, you know my husband. He's a popular guy Haha

I am also a "sweet" girl with skulls and crossbones and severed heads tattooed on me. Most people assume that I am crazy/mean/dominiatrix/ whatever. I've really gotta be overly nice because people say I "scare" them. That is the most frustrating part.
You've got a really nice look.
