I feel ya babes on that DIY beauty. I went to " Beauty School" For Cosmotology / Esthetics. But not to make a job, But just so i could keep myself up to par. A waste of money some would say. but hey, I look good. And I feel good about the decision I made. So F'em..lol

Even if now you are building another (more serious) career, this does not mean that you should forget your hobby. Our world will become too boring if we don't do what we like. I think you can find some short-term course and develop in the field of beauty. I also like all kinds of beauty DIY, but I can't incarnate them at all, that's why I just constantly follow and find interesting new items out there. What's up, btw?

Lifehack- look for youtube tutorials from Latin America. There are a lot of beauty salons run out of houses/backyards. Many make a lot happen out of very modest means.
Also- ethnic markets. For example Korean skincare products were a secret for a long time. There are tons of popular Latinix products I remember from the 1980s that work as well today.
Skincare is finally integrating diet as a major contributor to how skin looks and ages. Spending money on good food and nutrients will take you farther than overpriced skin creams.
