Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
So I just moved to Wisconsin from Las Vegas. (Yes, I know...MAJOR change...lol).
Anyway, all the clubs have spinning poles out here! The only clubs that had the spinning poles in Vegas were Little Darlings and Deja Vu. I do think the spinning poles make all the moves look amazing. The girls out here are nuts on these poles. I danced for six years out in Vegas and I have to say, I think a lot of the clubs should invest in spinning poles. Even though I feel like a newbie....(got on the pole, tried to do a trick and couldn't stop spinning...lol)
I got a lot to learn again..
What do you prefer? Spinning poles or non spinning poles?
I think once I get the hang of these spinning ones, I'll like them better. Until I get use to them, I do miss the non spinning ones. :P

Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
I prefer a static pole, because of my style of pole dance.
Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
I prefer the static as well. Firstly, because of an inner ear problem (the spinning makes me super nauseous), and second, because it's more work IMO. And more work means the more toned I am! Ha. Clearly that's my laziness seeping through... I use pole tricks in place of the gym...
Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
spinning poles in a way kind of even the playing field. i have fun on spinning poles, but prefer static because you have to have skills to look good on them. spinning pole you can do simple stuff, hold on , and it looks good.
Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
I've never tried a spinning pole but sometimes I wish my tricks would just spin a little more and with a static pole, you have to actually put in work and motion to get your body to do that. It takes more work, IMO.
Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
I HATE spinning poles. I am used to stationary poles, and the spinny poles make me nervous. They do require less "skill" for doing spin-type moves however, but I don't need the pole to move !
Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
I hate spinning poles as well. I tend to do a lot of pole work that just works better on a static pole. I'm so glad there arent many clubs around here with spinining poles!
Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
I've worked in clubs with both and I'm not sure which I like better. I like the stationary poles a lot because it keeps me in better shape. I also secretly like that any new stripper can't just walk up and look awesome on the pole. I work hard on my tricks and I want some recognition for that LOL.
The spinning poles were really cool when you felt lazy or grumpy though. My favorite way to ignore a super bad crowd was to climb up to the top of the pole, push off, and just spin for half the song, stop, push off again, and keep going. It looked really awesome with all the lights, lasers, and mirrors lol. It was like a kaleidoscope. The tricks were a lot easier to perform but a lot harder to practice. (It's really hard to see what you look like on a pole when you are spinning around at top speed.)
Re: Spinning Poles VS Non spinning poles
i used to prefer the static poles until i got used to the spinning poles. now i love the spinning ones. i miss them a lot.
the things that really baffle me are when clubs that bring in a shit ton of money have shitty stationary steel poles. seriously, brass is better. why cant they invest in some decent pole so we can put on a bette stage show?! >:(
