Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
Just a whiny vent, really. :)
I've been doing webcam since February, probably 20 hrs a week, in the afternoons, on streamate. I finally snagged a real regular and we were doing two, half-hour sessions weekly. We'd just begun using Skype/Alertpay so that I'd actually see more money, and I was feeling pretty good about the arrangement.
Today, he emailed me and said that basically he feels too guilty about being married and a father and exploring his sexuality online with me. I emailed him back with sort of a "it's cool" email....
I guess it's just kinda frustrating to have put some research into his kink and to have felt really confident that I was doing things right and building up a client base and then have this come crashing down.
I know I shouldn't treat this like a 'breakup' or anything, but it's hard to keep my confidence up. :(

Aw regulars unfortunately come and go all the time, don't let it affect your confidence! There will be more to come im sure :)
Re: Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
Did you try reassuring him that exploring his sexuality is perfectly normal? Sorry to hear that, I've lost many dancing regulars due to moving, SC vultures, or whatever reason and it sucks. :(
Re: Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
Remember, having regulars is awesome...but it can also make you lazy! Look at it as a challenge to find new, better regulars!
I'm not calling you lazy, of course...but losing regulars always provides me with a wakeup call to refine my hustle and step up my game. It's time to make new regulars!! I just mentally turn losing regulars into a good thing by using it to motivate me. :)
Re: Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
I'm sorry you lost a regular. I did too. It happens. Just move on and find more regulars who will pay you more! And be VERY careful about taking customers from cam sites and doing shows with them on yahoo or skype. If the cam site finds out they can delete your account and keep all money they owe you. :) Now go make that money! I love talking with other cam girls so if you ever want to chat hit me up on yahoo. :) My info is on my blog.

I can see myself feeling the same way after losing a reg. Something I need to prepare myself for. Hasn't happened yet (haven't been camming long) but it's inevitable.
As said above, just try to brush it off and use it as motivation to hustle harder! There will be many more to come ;D
Re: Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
Thanks everyone! Also, it seems they tend to come back. Weird.
Re: Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
^The second you stop needing them / wanting them, they go back to wanting/needing you!
It's the same reason that sex workers who need money don't seem to make any, I think. (As a general rule) The women who don't need the money always seem to make much more with less effort.
Re: Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
Look at the bright side, you put time and research into his kink - but theres probably more out there with that same kink and youve gained experience.
I recently lost two, of my best, and pretty much only regulars. Well one was a cam regular and one was a sugar daddy. It sucks bad, and Im struggling really hard without them. But, more will come.. I think Im starting to make another already!
Re: Lost my first real regular....waaaaah!
Update - I think he's coming back. He emailed saying that he was "warming up to the idea of playing with me again" and keeps checking in on me on Streamate to see what I'm wearing. Grrrr...I wish people (me included, sometimes) could just accept their kinks and not subvert them. Especially over the internet, damn.
