Good songs to audition to?
So, hello ladies! I am going in on Monday for the Amatuer night/audition and am wondering what type of music or particular songs would be good to dance to? You know, not too fast or obscure- songs that everyone can tolerate at the very least. I danced for a guy friend of mine to get some constructive critisizm and the only negative he said was the choice in song and how when a bad song comes on, he goes out for a smoke. That's the last thing I want!!! lol.
So, any song suggestions for a newbie that I wont break my neck trying to dance to?
Thanks for your input!
Re: Good songs to audition to?
I would say something well-known and well liked. Plus, something you feel sexy dancing too.
Older guys love it when girls dance to hits from when THEY were young - think Poison, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, etc. But those aren't always fun for the girls to dance too.
If you like pop, try something basic like Lady Gaga. Most people can tolerate her music.
The Kings Of Leon songs "Sex is on Fire" and "Closer" are recent, well liked, and fun to dance too.
What are some of your ideas?

Something that makes you feel sexy.

You don't always get to pick. Sometimes the dj will look at you like, "Bitch, Please."
Re: Good songs to audition to?
I actually thought maybe I'd bring a disc with some 80's rock, some Usher, Janet Jackson & Busta Rymes song "Gonna Make Ya," Kid Rock, Genuine's "Pony" song redone by some rocker dude & some pop songs too, then survey the crowd before picking so I can pick something they'll enjoy.

If you get to pick dance to something that you feel comfortable and sexy dancing to. Don't pick it just cause.
