I wouldn't call myself a die-hard Christian, but I am basically a Christian...and I tend to subscribe more to the new testament. The new testament is more about love, forgiveness, etc...which is what really makes me nuts about the moral majority types. If they spent half as much time helping others as they do condemning and controlling others, they'd be more productive.
So where am I going with this?
If an individual wants to match Jesus' expectations in inter-personal relationships, then he/she might wish to fall back on his general ethical teachings:
To treat and value one's neighbor as one would wish to be treated.
To not be exploitive, dominating, manipulative, controlling, violent, or abusive towards others.
To, above all, not abuse children.
In other words, you're fine to strip and be a christian.
