Will protein shakes keep in the fridge?
I just made a berry protein shake and accidentally made a little bit too much, so I put it in the fridge. Made me think that if it keeps well, I could pre-make a big batch of it and store it in the fridge.
Will it keep in the fridge fairly well? for how long?
Re: Will protein shakes keep in the fridge?
I personally have never heard of anyone making batches and storing them, and I do notice that after even an hour or two, the glass from which I drink my protein shake from smells funny, like it goes bad fast.
P.S. How's your diet and exercise routine going? How are you feeling? I just got back from the gym and did the same workout that I PM'd you, but added some extra things.

I did some research and found that the "bad smell" isn't necessarily a bad thing, it's just a chemical process of the fruit being exposed to oxygen.
The exercise is going well - I left a message on your profile of some of the changes I've made to help me keep up with the exercise without exhausting myself. Hopefully in another week or so I'll build my strength up and I can do the whole workout.
P.S. Is it normal to gain weight before you start losing?? I measured with a tape measure and notice I'm slowly losing some inches, but I've actually gained a couple of pounds. Confusing!

^if you are gaining muscle its very possible.
i have given up on weighting myself, measurements are what count aesthetically anyway. when i started dancing i had a beer gut and was like 125 lbs. when i was in my best shape i was 35-26-37 but i was rock solid so i was in between 145-150.
so i wouldnt worry about gaining weight as long as you are losing inches. :)

Girl, don't even get on a scale right now. Don't keep track of your weight, just stay focused on the diet and workout, and after a good month, you will look like a different person, then weigh yourself. Scales are inaccurate. Watch how your clothes are fitting you, I noticed the biggest difference in my waist and thighs, my pants would fall off of me. In the beginning, your weight does crazy things, and it's mostly water weight you are losing. You want to get to the point where you are building muscle and burning fat, watch your veins in your hands and feet, they will pop out more, my hands and forearms look like the incredible hulk after I work out, so I know I'm building muscle, and more muscle equals faster/more efficient metabolism, so you get to the point where you are burning pure fat. Also remember there's fat around your organs, on the inner part of your body, and also subcutaneous fat and water retention, (which is more what you see). It's something like for every one lb. of muscle you gain, you burn off three lbs of fat, you want to get your metabolism like a furnace!
