Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
Hi everyone, I'm excited to be posting for the first time, never knew a site like this existed, been reading like crazy for the past few days!
So here's my situation, I've been interested in stripping for a while but recently my financial situation has pushed me to take the plunge. I went to Bandaids about 2 weeks ago on a Tuesday night, auditioned, was terrified haha, and worked that night. I stayed for 3 hours, it was dead, and I made about $60 after tipout.
I haven't been able to make myself go back since then. Once I got ready, drove there, waited in the car for 30 min, then drove back home. I think that club just kinda grossed me out, it was a dive, which I didn't mind, but it was so high contact. One guy kept grabbing me and and trying to move me around, push me down between his legs, rub me on his dick, and the bouncer was right there! Another guy stuck his hand in my crack, ugh. And there is no VIP just $10 dances.
I guess I'm just asking any of you Phoenix ladies, what club have you had a good experience starting out in? I'm only interested in topless, I'm mid twenties, 5'3, 110, and mixed black/white.
Thanks so much for any advice ladies!!

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
um...ok. not to come across as bitchy or anything lol but most girls aren't going to be so willing to share that kinda info if they are doing good in a club (just kinda how it is). however, as a newbie as well in phoenix, i personally would stay away from anything on 37th and grand if you don't want to start in a "gross" club; esp bandaid's. dunno how business is for bliss but it's a newer middle of the road club in phoenix and they are hiring and excepting new dancers as well. they do have a website--just check tuscl.net (it's a strip club list and it can give you some more insight as far as custie reviews, club info, etc.). good luck though and welcome :)

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
also keep in mind though it's really not a bad thing to start at a dive to gain a little experience and then move on to greener pastures...

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
also $60 for a first night and your first time dancing is actually not bad. i've heard of girls leaving owing the club at the end of the night. i walked out with a like $30 after tip out my first night from a 4 hour shift and it was the day after 4th of july so it was slow as shit and my $ only came from stage tips that night haha.

ok ive never worked in phoenix but i know lots of girls who have and i keep up to date on these boards, and from what i know phoenix is completely dead during the summer.
if i were you, i would travel up to flagstaff. there is a club there called Blush. flagstaff is season in the summer due to its proximity to the grand canyon, so it has business. i dont think this will be a club to bank at, but it should be busier than phoenix. Also, i talked to the manager and she was super friendly; friendly management can be a great thing when starting out. also as far as hiring goes, i asked what the standards were, she asked how old i am and i replied 22 and she said unless there was something seriously wrong with me i would be fine. so it sounds very lenient.
just my two cents. i think its like a 1 hr 15 min drive, but i would think it is worth it if the club has business. because from what i hear, phoenix really is awful in the summer. like really awful.

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
I've worked in Phoenix for years (6 at Christie's, 2 at Babes)
There isn't any "best" club for a newbie...but you will be able to find the best club for YOU just simply by trying out different clubs. The upper tier clubs are Christie's, Bourbon St, HiLiter, Babes, and Skin.
Become familiar with the search tool at the top of this page: just type in Phoenix or Scottsdale and all of the relevant info will be delivered right to you ;) You can also pick up a copy of Playtime Magazine at any club (usually next to 944 magazine) and check out some of the club reviews (and my monthly column of course! LOL!)

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
athena and britney are right. phoenix is really slow and one club might work for one girl but not the other. also keep in mind that the phoenix license and the scottsdale licenses are 2 different licenses and all of the clubs here do require a license. scottsdale license is $125 and phoenix is $25. but ya phoenix is wicked slow right now. at least it's august already....

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
Go to bombshells -44th and Thomas
forget about blush I worked there a month ago and was flooded with girls like 13 on a Thursday night and barely customers...which start coming after 10 pm btw. The most money the top girl made was 180.. Everyone else had like 50 to 100 for 7 hrs of work . I bet mgmt are nice ...ur just another $65 dollars UPFRONT + 10% to the Dj walking their door into their pockets.
And it's 2.5 hrs drive, 173 miles from phx about $40 in gas and another 40 for hotel room
Nasty gross filthy stage too ruined my outfit
major waste of time IMO and totally not worth it
Tucson is much better and lower fees and shorter drive

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
Thank you girls, yea I guess I need to just pick another club and jump back into it.
I was actually thinking about Bombshells, I applied to waitress there about a month ago, and the manager talked to me a little about dancing and said everyone was very nice and supportive there, but then I had also read some bad things about him in some reviews of the place.
Has anyone here tried Alaskan Bush Co?

Bandaids is the worst club to work at. So never go back their ;)
Bombshells is ok I used to work their. It can be very slow in the summer. The owner of Alaskan Bush Co. does not like black girls (not my opinion I was told this by one of the managers their). But if your light skinned mix you might have a chance.

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
Yes stay away from bandaids.
I got an acoustic trauma from the loudness of the music blasted in there and I had to stay home for over 9 months. My ears haven't stopped ringing yet and I had to spend alot in medical bills and meds with the risk to carry this ringing my whole life

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
wait, there is a club called Bandaids in Phoenix? :O
that is the worst name for a stipclub EVER.
-
Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix

He can be super nice but on a bad moon he s a real ass
many girls leave that club bcs of his power trips
also he flips with other employees and fires bouncers floor managers waitresses for inexsistent reasons

RITE!!! that's exactly what i said and then i saw the place and the building is small and dingy and crusty looking. VERY nasty club.

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
yea! it gives me an image of all these crusty girls with sores all over their bodies covered in bandaids!
i am wondering what image the owner wanted to convey. maybe the owner WANTED everyone to get that image so they would know its the local brothel?? (assuming it is... i cant imagine a club named bandaids being anything but a defacto brothel).

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
I guess back in the day they had to wear Band Aids on their nipples. Kinda bad when the club's name has AIDS in it.
However, I did really well at that club! LOL
Even though I'm not a "stick girl", I was the skinniest girl there. I had all my teeth too. :D
Working there though, I did see A LOT of extra stuff going on. Girls would even brag in the locker room about meeting a guy OTC for even more extra stuff. (At least they were doing the worst outside the club, I guess...lol)
Not that it was any of my business, I went in, stayed my 3 hours, made money...and left.
ANYWAY though!
I'd recommend Hi Liter if you don't like the divey places. They have a really good afternoon shift too. No shift minimum (at least when I worked there), you can come and go as you please. It's just a nice looking club too. Good Luck! I hope you find a place you're happy and comfortable at. :)

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
I've worked at Bombshells for 3 shifts back in March and it wasnt so bad-but the contact level there was a bit high for what I was used to. You didn't have to do it, but the money was better if you did and you were more likely to sell repeat dances, and at 10 a dance on the floor that's what you want to do.
They also make you buy a band to go into their VIP area for $20+ dances, and they also have a very small private lounge area you can sell too.

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
Bomshells and Bliss in Phoenix are good clubs. Blush Cabaret in Flagstaff is a good club during the summer May-October. Lot's of Indians driving down from the reservations and spending good $ and lots of guys coming up from Phoenix to get out of the heat.
Cristalla, worked 1 night in Flagstaff, I worked there for years, was always good, you just have to know how to hustle. It is 1 hour and 45 minute drive if you live in N. Phoenix/Glendale/Scottsdale. A longer drive if you are in Chandler/Mesa etc.
Now, Bandaids that is just nasty!!

Re: Best club for a newbie in Phoenix
Indeed Jamaica is a better hustler than me ;)
my info is current tho ...
Things might be a bit different now in 2010 than 2-3 years ago
