Are there any working moms
Are there any moms that are dancers here? Do you keep it from your family? if so, how do you do it? Do you have husbands and if so do they know?
Sorry for all the questions but I really want to take the next step. Since I lost my job I have been doing little things here and there to make money doing toy parties. Now, I need something more but I am afraid of what my family will think.
My 1st thought is not to tell anyone
Thanks guys for listening I have been down in the dumps today.
Re: Are there any working moms
Attempting to keep working as a 'stripper' a secret from your husband / family is guaranteed to cause major personal problems sooner or later !!!
Re: Are there any working moms
I am a mom and married and I strip. I do keep it from my siblings and parents and in-laws and grandparents and aunts and uncles etc etc. However, I do not keep it from my husband.
Normally my husband watches our daughter while I go to work, and takes her to daycare in the mornings so I can sleep and work out. However, now that he is deployed I am running into a few snags concerning night time care for her-but I am finding some affordable care in the way of friends with teenagers who are looking for extra cash. That's how I do it.
Re: Are there any working moms
I strip and I'm a mother and in a committed relationship. I'm an open book about it. I have reached the point in my life where I don't care what anyone has to say about what I do to earn a living. They don't pay my bills, I do.
I can understand your concern. I'd be completely honest with your boyfriend/husband but nobody else really needs to know what you do.
Re: Are there any working moms
Disagree with alot of what's been said. She should tell her hubby yeah but her family? Not so much. I know dancers that don't tell their families what they do and they're just fine mentally.

i'm just fine mentally lol most of the time anyways
Re: Are there any working moms
My parents and sister know (well, knew, since I haven't danced in almost a year).
Extended family and in-laws do not, and will never, know.
Some things are just better kept private.
