what are you looking for in a club?
I'm at Scores. It's incredibly competitive but everyone's really nice. Mostly money is made from selling VIP here-people do buy dances, but you have to hustle hard. It's very rare to get tipped on stage.
I have friends at Lace and Hustler who are happy. Don't bother auditioning at Penthouse if you don't have experience-they prefer NYC or Vegas experience, from when I auditioned. Again, very competitive.
I've also heard good things about Sapphire. Rick's is supposedly good money but very strict management.
I would recommend against Private Eyes-I waitressed there and it's HIGH contact+the girls don't make shit for VIP. Apparently the entire Flashdancers chain is similar but the money at Flashdancers itself is good.
These are all Manhattan gown clubs. For less formal clubs try the ones in Queens or Brooklyn. I can't offer you pointers here, I've only worked in Manhattan. Best of luck!
Hustler doesn't hire without experience either, but you could always lie. I wouldn't suggest it though for starting out.
I started out in Jersey. Was a nice ease into it because you're in a bikini and behind a bar, until you choose to give someone a dance. Also super low house fee, so you never lose money like you can in Manhattan. Squeeze lounge is nice and gets business and is right on the other side of the Lincoln tunnel. You could take the path over and grab a cab, would be easy. Good luck.
thanks guys....im looking for something not too upscale because i have no experience but something that would give me some. i'll c if i can check out squeeze lounge. do they have a website or do you know the address??
Hustler was my first club, & I had NO experience when I started. I just read hustle hut like a mad woman before auditioning. I've seen Chris hire "no experience" girls.
I lied to him. I told him that I never stripped but had a friend in the business who gave me some pointers. Then later that night he sees me giving a lapdance with my gown on, looking all lost. I forgot to take it off. LOL. Pointers my ass.
Manhattan is very competative and lots of money to be. Never ever admit you never had experience in big cities like Manhattan, Vegas.. etc. Show up with hair and makeup done. Wear heels not sneakers or flats. Most of smile like your face gunna fall off. Flash is very competitve, and will only let experienced mean pole trick girls work at night, private eyes suck. Hustlers good but for absolute newbie try ny dolls until you feel like you cam deal with the assholeness of NY men then audition other spots. Good luck babe
thanks for all the advice guys..... I APPRECIATE it so much
I work at Sapphire now, but I started out doing lap dance events at a place called Saint Venus Theater. They rent out club spaces in Manhattan and it was very nice, just lap dancing and all cash. It was very low key with mostly college students and models working there, not a lot of "real" dancers so it's not a highly competative atmosphere. After I'd been there a few months I moved on to an upscale gown club. You can google the name to see their website and their myspace page.
I started out dancing in Rockland County, NY as well, close to where I grew up. I started dancing in 2002 though, and stopped around 2006-2007, so it's been a real long time. I actually started up at Lace in Nyack, and also at Stilettos in Nanuet. Good money actually at either clubs, although I'm not sure if either are still open. The city is by far better though in terms of cash.
This girl showed up to audition once with what looked like NO makeup on. Idk what planet she was from, I literally almost told her she needs to wear makeup. Yes we have makeup people, but it's not like a modeling job where you're ordered to wear your makeup how the job wants, and they want to see what you REALLY look like in the beginning. No, he wants to know how you're gonna look on the floor. I just cannot imagine what this girl was thinking, or seriously where she was from.
Needless to say, she's on the "wait list."
Oh and another girl didn't have any heels one time either. She didn't have a chance, would you show up to audition for the Rockettes without tap shoes? I'm pretty sure most of us make more money than those girls, I'm looking into it now. But the point is, this is a serious job where you can make a lot of money, it's not to be taken lightly.
