Weekday- I don't like to make under $300. $200 I'm okay with, though. That's working 9-4.
Weekend- I like to make $1k. That's working 9-6am.

ok you asked so i will be honest 200 to 300 a might stripping in a club is bad! Maybe the club sucks.
You will make that doing cam shows i would not bother with a club that makes me 300 a night better to stay home and do cam shows.
Stripping should be 700 to 1000 plus if not cam! thats my exp anyways.
Girl, I know. I love it!! Saturdays I've been doing good, too. Finally learning how to get around selling sober guys.
Some weekdays I do good but I usually like to leave with at least 300. I've had really good weekdays before, though where I make the same as I do on a weekend. They are rare but the chance always keeps me going back in. Plus, all the $300 weekdays add up and then the weekend comes, and that's usually when I bank.
But with how emotionally draining and physically taxing the job is ....you need to make more than just 20% or so above an "average" living.
Also ... tack on ex extra hour of getting ready time per shift + an extra hour of excercise / stripper maintence per each shift. $150 divided by 10 ( using 10 as a representation of true hours and 8 in the club ) .... $15 an hour to strip ? Eh ...depends on situation of individual ... but not worth it at all in my book.
32 hours in the club a week + 4 hours of getting ready + 4 hours per week of stripper maintenence represents stripping full time ( this is what I might be doing Sept - Dec.). That's IF you don't have a huge commute AND many of us do MORE THAN 4 hours of maintence a week by far! You'd have to make $250 per shift averages to make $48k a year before taxes ( which at least seems closer to " fair "in my book than your $30k a year representation ) . That's factoring only 4 weeks off for recovery annually. That's at least somewhat decent money if you don't live in a location with a high cost of living.
man, 200/day is what a trader joe's employee (managers make ~100k or so) makes.
apparently all the phat cash has moved to camming, which would be a remarkable and unprecedented economic shift for the sex industry.
It is and if I make $800 on four 6-8 hour shifts it is a good week! I was talking to a girl at the club whose goal was $2000 for the month, working 4 days a week, and she was worried she wouldn't make it. Portland is a no contact (although this is changing in a few clubs), low tipout city, but something needs to change.Quote:
Taking your clothes off 4 nights a week and barely making a $800 bucks has got to be emotionally taxing.
Where are you ladies dancing making $500+ a night?
i do private parties (bachelor parties, divorce parties, etc) and the parties generally last an hour and a half. $200 is considered bad, $300 is average, $400 is pretty good, and $500+ is a REALLY good show. it would probably be a lot better if i was in a different part of the country and if the economy was better obvs. The thing that makes stripping worth it to me or not worth it to me is the amount of parties i get in a week. If i get 6 parties making average at each party (300) then i get $1800 for the week which is great. But if its a bad week, say, only 3 parties and they were all sucky then I only make 600 for the week. private parties are much more sporadic as well. I can literally go from making 3 grand one week to 500 bucks the next. so what makes it worth it to me is the good weeks and the hope that there are more to come!
Well, I'm part of the $500 minimum crowd, and I work in northern New Jersey. I have some good regulars, though. A lot of girls I work with are happy making $2-300 a night. Not me, though....I got into this business to hustle and make bank, and I am very grateful that I do (most of the time..we all have bad nights!).
It's definitely different than Portland though, in terms of house fee AND contact. Plus, living expenses here are insane compared to most of the rest of the country.
I love how just because someone can't break $600 a night they think others are having the same struggle! FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT FEEL THAT WAY, THINK AGAIN!
I totally agree with miss1dancypants. In WA the club I worked at for a second had a $110 house, and was packed full of girls. I talked to the top dancer and she did a 5 hour shift and made $400. Many girls hadn't made house that day and left with not much $.
I love private parties. For strip-o-grams (30min-1hour) I make $200, but lately I've been doing bachelor parties (1-2 hours) and making $500+ unless the dudes are all cheap assholes. The only down side is it is seasonal because not as many people get married in the winter.
Woah, $2000 for the month? I would not strip. That's usually my goal for a week, working 4 8 hour shifts. There has be another club in driving distance where you can make more - even if it's the next state over.
I'm working in Toronto. I'm in a top tier club for the area, but I'm an 'average' earner.
Props to your work ethic girl, and for sticking with it. I would have quit long ago if I was in your position.
Why stripping can be better than camming? One word: taxes.
Hmmm. It will be very interesting to see what my average turns out to be once I'm back in the industry. Compared to what is was when I left, around 3 years ago. I have always been obsessive with recording my earnings.
Weekdays, a minimum of $500 out the door for a 4-6 hour shift.
Weekends, a minimum of $1000 out the door for a 4-6 hour shift.
I do enjoy camming on occasion and do well there too, but I enjoy face to face conversations and contact. I usually shoot for at least $2500-$3000 a week.
I usually set myself a weekly target so I don't ge too upset if I have 1 or 2 bad nights in a week. My expectations change depending on where I'm working but at the moment:
Mon-Wed: $250 MINIMUM $500 GOOD
Thu & Sun: $350 MINIMUM $800 GOOD
Fri-Sat: $800 MINIMUM $1400 GOOD
So yeah, anything less than the minimums there and I get a little cranky, especially as I do 8-12 hour shifts. I usually try to set my target at around $50/hr slow days and $100/hr good days but as long as I meet whatever weekly target I've set (depending on what shifts I'm doing) I'm happy.
I just cant understand how anyone could make less them 500 a shift dancing.. Are you going around the room all night asking for dance after dance? And i mean you ask the same guy 10 plus times a night? You should never stop asking guys for dances no matter how crappy you feel doing it your money will go up!
the money some of you are talking about is what you make to cam or waitress.
Seems its time for a new club or start Hustling hardcore!
Even working cam shows should be a min no less then 50 per hour.
Some people in this thread are also saying that just because you can make $200/night waitressing means you should be a waitress instead of a stripper. As far as I can tell, waitresses have to put up with a hell of a lot of shit at their jobs too (and it can even be more labor intensive and stressful). At least with stripping, you have your autonomy still. Waitressing seems like a much more passive position.
I'll also add that some of you aren't taking into account that many clubs have lower earning potentials than other clubs. Everything from the club's location to dance prices to house fees restrict the amount of money you can make at the club. And not everyone has the option of driving an extra 10 minutes to get to a club with higher earnings.
I personally just moved to a club with lower earning potential because I got sick of the increasingly bad situation at my last club. I'll gladly take an earnings cut in order to preserve my sanity.
If I made less than $ 200a night on a consistent basis, I would stop stripping.
I am content with $300-$500 right now
^ Same.
I would stop stripping at $200/night or less. I think I'd have to at least consistently make $3-500/night for it to be worth it. I mean, everyone has bad nights, but I couldn't handle the emotional labor for less than that on a consistent basis.
