Song with a Mission by The Sounds
Re: new songs that sound old
i meant mainstream music that sounds like 40 or 50's music. I would like to dance to that sort of thing but my club only allows mainstream music. So far i have a show where i use candyman...but i wanted ideas of similsr types of music to dance to that my club will allow.
Thanks though

How about Mercy by Duffy
If you like rock-ish music, Amy Winehouse's stuff has a bit of a vintage feel too it. And "You Make me wanna die" by the Pretty Reckless is very 70's rock'n'roll-ish.

Poison - Martina Topley Bird (sounds more 60's than 40's or 50's)

Re: new songs that sound old
A lot of the Black Keys music sounds like early 70's southern rock if you're into that.
Re: new songs that sound old
Pack up by Eliza Doolittle - has a sample from Pack Up Your Troubles!
Re: new songs that sound old
A lot of Portishead songs have an old feel to them.
But for more of the same feel as Candyman, try Pandora Radio and put that song in. Also look for "Swing Jazz" songs. :)

Here's a hot track I've been listening to a lot lately. More 60's than 40's/50's but still VERY cool:
