First off for those who don't know. TGP is Thumbnail Gallery Post. Basically it is place where you can post a page of thumbnail pictures they can click on and they show them the real picture in full size. They get LOTS of traffic, and the traffic is considered kind of poor by webmasters because it usually consists more of guys looking for free porn. But I will grant this, almost every adult site out there makes em, so they must be converting at least somewhat.
For those who want to go the route of TGPs. Here's some instructions.
1. Get some software, or learn to make galleries by hand. I recommend getting Express Thumbnail Creator (google it) or google thumbnail programs.
2. Make a Gallery with at least 12 thumbs and pics. Make it creative and different. Write in some text.
3. Go to Persian Kitty at and first click "click here" and make an account.
4. follow the directions and post your TGP. Cross your fingers that you did a good job. If so you'll get a TGP on PK and you'll get somewhere between 30k(bad TGP, work on it) and 80k hits of traffic within about 1-2 weeks.
Beware, like all TGP traffic it isn't the highest quality, but if you're prepared to handle the deluge and you offer something cool and unique, it CAN be great.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are some differences in different TGP structure and so on. Persian Kitty is one of the oldest and most popular along with the hun and a few others. They give you better traffic to a degree than the other TGPs that are considered by many to be "black hat" in the sense that they are "bad guys"...
Black Hat TGPs operate off tricking users into an endless string of thumbnail galleries who are all affiliates of each other and while some guys like them because they provide endless free porn, other people get REALLY pissed at pop-up after pop-up and fake link after fake link. So, I stick with known Gallery places, and sinceno-one has posted any that are useful to girls with normal/small chests, I figured I would jump in.
Now, before you get TOO excited. Where are you going to send this huge deluge of traffic?
SOME TGPs allow free sites, but most good ones DON'T. So you need a valid web address to send them to. That's fine, because you also need somewhere to put your gallery. So...the best way to START a promotion campaign is to do a One Page site that features you and drives traffic to other places (namely your cam room or other pay point).
A few will allow you to send traffic to freely reachable Profile on a camsite, IF the page looks more or less like a webpage for YOU. You have to try it and see. I've gotten a few into PK before, but also had a few 'mysteriously" refused.
If you need to work on a webpage and want help with THIS stuff (Meaning a basic webpage, and a first time TGP...I am not offering to promote people here, I probably can't take you on for that), write me and we'll work something out.
Anyway, once you have a TGP in place and it is producing traffic and driving it to your room or page or whatever, THAT is when the real promotion begins, because knowing what to do with traffic once you have it is very important.
So, your thinkin' "That Bambalina, she offered to help out, but she's a crazy bitch all arguin' with Devon and shit! I don't want nuthin to do with all that shit! Crazy emo bitch!"
Well for you, I have good news!!!
Go here: and buy your name!! If you don;t own your name, the one you want to brand. Then you are a doofus, plain and simple. BUY YOUR NAME! If you are MadonnaKissone then you need to own and it can never hurt to have it. It costs $8 per YEAR ladies!!! Buy your name.
Secondly, go Here: and click See Hosting Plans and click on the $4.95 plan. Buy it. Make sure you point your new domain there and tell gator about it so they can set you up.
You now OWN a space on the internet. Now you just need to put a website up there.
So, go HERE: and get this program which allows you to build one website for FREE. And start building.
Also heard great things about this:
Now, once you know what you're doing and are web designing for real like a champ, you're going to want to get Adobe Dreamweaver. But for now, try these two out, they will get you up and running in one or two days.
NOW...one the website is up with links to everything you do that makes money, a page for your sale vids and pic sets and panties, and pussy pops and everything else, you're all set to post to a couple TGPs and then watch the avalanche of traffic POUR in.
Have fun. Play this one right and I just doubled your money MINIMUM. (and I'm not even a fan of TGPs...so imagine the GOOD stuff...hehehe)
I should have posted This question about link exchanges in this thread. Are there any sites out there that a cam girl must go to to trade links with?
Can I add my two cents?
When you buy your domain name, you CAN just use your name like . However, when it comes to search engine optimization, using keywords in your domain name will get you to the top of the search engine on those keywords. Search engine traffic is some of the best traffic there is. So u gotta know what words your potential clients are searching for and put those in your domain. Dot com domains rank higher that dot net or dot org. Also, when choosing a name, certain things like dashes are ignored by search engines. So if your name is taken, you can do . Having multiple domains point to your site lowers your ranking, so you don't wanna be both AND . Put your keywords in your page title and metatags. Also put them in your content. Get as many quality backlinks on your site as you can. More backlinks = higer rankings.
I have two websites for my business I run during the day. I run two sites because I want top ranking for the keywords, and I have front page listings on google for those words. Both my sites refer to each other to bring traffic to both sites. You can also use landing pages and refer to your site to bring traffic with different domains. You just don't wanna have different domains pointing to the same site.
There is a reason why MFC has a domain name like .
You mindreading wildwoman! I was just about to talk about Links...
Well more specifically, backlinks.
So...Search engines are great traffic. Why? Well for the same reason TGPs suck. (Don;t get up in arms here, TGPs are fine, and this article will make clear WHY I sound contradictory...) and Craigslist is good for what CL is good for, and the same reason LiveJasmin is (in my opinion) atrocious.
Let's discuss traffic. Traffic refers to people who go from place to place on the internet, doing things..The users, the custies, the consumers...Long ago people just kind of flowed around all chaotic like, and the internet was a wild and wooly funland of trying to figure out what makes what tick. But in all advertising and promotion, people are akin to sheep, and getting them to DO things is the ultimate goal. Once you get them to DO things, you can get them to BUY things, read things, eat things, drink things, etc..So, not to go too far on this, the traffic cones and stop lights, and detours and so on that move traffic around the net became really pretty sophisticated. So there's a range of traffic, and traffic is actually broken down into many types and groups, but what we're concerned with here is what I call scattershot traffic, and targeted traffic. scattershot traffic is like grabbing a fistful of darts, shutting your eyes and throwing them toward the dart board, If you throw ten handfuls you will likely get at least one bullseye. Targeted traffic is the equivalent of practicing and becoming truly good at darts, so that the chances of throwing three bullseyes in a row, are pretty darn good.
So, the TGP is VERY scattershot un-targeted traffic. Even if you do a TGP specifically about some something, the traffic will still be folks who want to see pics on a TGP, for free. Some WILL buy. But we need to get 200-500 people in to get single sale at times, and even more if your pitch isn't honed. So, 10,000 hits from most TGPs can translate into 20-50 sales.
Now..Can the class give me an example of Targeted traffic we all use or at least know about? No little Johnny, when your daddy gets road rage and tries to run down the old lady that crosses the street too slowly, that is NOT targeted traffic.
Ok, so the great example is the Indy Cam Site. You have Yahoo, which is the point of sale. Those sites drive users in a very targeted way to you. Even then it isn't 100% by any means, but MUCH better than 200-1.
Search engine traffic is great traffic if you do it right and don't try to trick the search engine, because the people search for "Webcam Girl" or "Sexy escort malaya" or whatever. So when they come to your site they were looking for what you offer already.
So, TGPs are fine, but not if they make you not concentrate on getting your TARGETED traffic done. Which goes back to something I said in the other thread. Who are "they"? Where do "they" hang out? "How do you reach "them"?
Well lets imagine that FairyAngels came and bopped you with their wand, and suddenly you got a banner ad on the opening page of MyFreeCams, LiveJasmin and Stream. That banner leads directly to your camsite...how many custies would come? THOUSANDS right? Well obviously the cam sites aren't that dumb.
Ok. now imagine a link on the lower 1/3rd of the page on the Links page of a sewing site. How many custies would be crashing down your door? Almost none!
Now...think about that...and Part two will bring a lot of THIS together...but for now, I must sleep.
B.
Much good info here, but a few things are not true, or used to be true.
First, having a keyword or two in your domain is good, however it is now less important on Google and Bing than it used to be.
The myth that .com is better than .net or .org is just not true. Now, people WILL argue this, google put out a specific video debunking it, at least for Google. You still se it on webmaster forums and such though...but Google says "Nope".
Likewise, for Google and Bing (other maybe as well) the Keywords meta-tag is no longer used for Page Ranking. Period. This is the most persistent thing I get argued with about and for. Go to google, search Keywords meta-tag and watch the vid from google where they specifically answer it that for 2 years or more now their algorithm IGNORES the Keywords Meta-tag. Do I put em in? Sure...in case Lycos or a Japanese Engine or something DOES use em, but they are now a superstition and a remnant of the past for the most part. In other words, old habits die hard.
It's an argument on the dual domain thing. Some say yes and others no. Google said they don;t penalize, but it won;t gain you page ranking. Whatever that means.
So what that leaves is two truly important factiors.
1. Content. Your page should be relevent, it should have text specifically about what you want to sell with keywords NATURALLY in the text.
2. Backlinks. This is for tomorrow, because it is the absolute most important part of google, and also the hardest to work correctly. If you have the right backlinks and decent relevent content, you will place WAY above folks who get SEO companies to do Search Engine optimizing.
So, in other words you actually did well sunshine, and the stuff you posted that I am arguing with, well, don;t feel bad...I meet SEOs all the time who still say this stuff, and even call google liars and stuff. Yet, when I have completely REMOVED the keywords tag, my Placement didn't change on any major engine. Point a second domain at the the same site...search engine placement doesn't change. I mean these things are specifically testable.
Anyway, more tomorrow.
B.
Can't wait til tomorrow! I'm obsessing over back links at the moment :D
Hey B - I have heard that about metatags. I still have mine anyway, tho.
CL also brings me $$$. The general consensus on SW is that CL is nothing but trash, and most everyone hear sticks their nose up at it. Sooo, I don't bother talking about it. But if you know how to work it, it's a great place to pull traffic and $$$. Backpage is pretty good too.
But back to SE's. Yes, agreed. Content and backlinks are the surefire way to go. Quality not quantity.
SW is seriously turning into a goldmine
So. you wanna understand backlinks, eh? Well. the first thing that we need to discuss is relevance. [Juliette, simmer down and quit wiggling in your seat! You're making me all excited!]
So very first thing, a backlink is a link TO you from some other site. So, if I link to your site from my site, you have a backlink from me, and if you link back to me, then we did a link-trade.
a HUGE portion of all search engine placement and traffic is now fully reliant on back-links. See, google figured out that you can stuff your site full of keywords and you can cheat in most other ways, but you cannot easily cheat getting quality links from other sites to you. I mean, if you put up a page full of ads with nothing really new or interesting, who the hell is gonna link to that? Follow? So if you have a ton of good quality sites linking to you, well, let's just say Google likes that A LOT.
Relevance is exactly what it sounds like. How relevant is a link to the site it is linked to. So you are naughty little webcam diva with your hot wet vagina on full display for the world to see on your front page, and you score 3 links...First one is from CamGirlLikeYou.com (made up), second is from SexyStoryHeaven.org and the third one is from BobsWorldofPlumbing.net. It quickly becomes obvious which one is VERY relevant, which is KINDA relevant, and which one shares NO real relevance with your site.
Well, google is gonna rate the first one as a Big + and give you a boost, the Second will also boost you, but not so much...The third one will not boost you at all, and may even hurt you a bit for the fact that it's subject matter is so oddly contrary to yours.
So, how the heck does google know? Little elves?
Yes, sort of...the Google SPIDER is a program that CRAWLS the WEB, get it? Spider...web....yah! Anyway...The Google Spider indexes all the links and then compares the keywords and in fact all the words on your page, with the words on CamGirlLikeYou and finds what? TONS of stuff in common. So that link gets rated high. How many does it find and how much commonality with the plumbing page? So....that is the biggest indicator.
So, in any website...we need good content that truly describes what you are doing/selling/offering, it shouldn't be fakely overloaded with descriptive words, but it can be nicely "peppered" with keywords.
If I have a foot fetish page....
"Hi, I'm B. and I'm a foot model, and I hope you enjoy looking at my feet and sharing your feelings about my toes and the soles and heels, and even my shoes. I hope you truly enjoy feet and the foot fetish subject matter, because that is what you'll get here, feet feet feet. Foot Fetish Fans Unite! And remember, Good foot pictures are always welcomed!"
is really good...but to be honest 60-40 that google WILL drop "feet feet feet"...so re-write the line to read "what you'll get here, foot fetish subject matter and more feet than you can shake a nose at!" That blends better.
Now, you go to some sites and see:
"This foot fetish site is feet and feet is all the foot fetish fanatic loves, so come share foot stories and foot fantasies and feet and foot pictures, and remember one is a foot and two are feet!"
Overkill, and most likely Google will drop the whole paragraph as "keyword stuffing" and spam...Worse yet, they might penalize you. So DON'T stuff keywords. Even my first example is a bit much, but would probably work out ok.
So, you get the words written, and now you want Links IN...well link exchange is the first stop, plus, you know any camgirls or whatever your site is for?? Um...we're HERE aren't we? Get yourself some links. Then get yourself listed in every Adult Search engine, Make a blog somewhere completely different and link it to your site...Got a profile on the camsite? Link it! Myspace, twitter, and Facebook? Link em!! A Yahoo profile page? LINNNNNK!
So we're started with links, and now we want big relevant ones...so you guys start giving ME ideas...let's go...
Are we having fun yet???
B.
I wasn;t speaking of the place, but the act. And you are doing it right now. I saw your thread and I applaud it. THAT is Link Exchange....when you say, Hey, I got a site, want to exchange links??? to anyone else, you've done "link exchange"...Now Link lists...well, they used to be awesome before the google spider learned to figure out relevance, but the ones you find easily are antiquated shit now. Because there is VERY little relevance. Although any ADULT link is somewhat relevant.
But I will tip the hat and let you peer in just enough to say that if one digs REALLY well and uses their search skills, there are a few link lists with SPECIFIC content....go hunting....
B.
Ok...for now and update. My "mentor" (the super couple who promote like gods and make me feel like a kindergartner) is still quite hot to trot to do something with an Indy Cam Site. I got him all excited and now he comes up with new ideas and stuff every time we talk.
He says overall it isn't worth doing if it isn't done right. He says he can set up 3 sites minumum, and advertise and promote each in a really different way, so each brings a different clientelle, and that he could get each to at least 75k-100k hits in about 6 weeks if the girls would come and sign up. But as I said earlier, he wants a subscription model where the girls can keep their whole pay, and are their own payment processor,,,AlertPay and Epass perferred. He said I explained it poorly last time I asked you giuys, because it would be a LISTING site that brings you shows, NOT a full-fledged Cam Show site, with payments and such. He was like, "Would the women pay $20 per month for one site (with 50,000 hits per month guaranteed, to start) and $35 for two sites (50k more completely different traffic) and $50 for three sites (again, totally different traffic model). To have a Profile Page with Yahoo Online button, and the ability to customize that page." I said, I'll toss it out to the ladies. So there ya go.
Personally, I know all my clients would be on it, because I can;t imagine those three sites NOT having like 500k hits per month within like 90 days. I've never seen them touch a site and NOT have it blow up. But anyway....I admit, I'm curious....
B.
Now, my last post leads me to this one. This place is full of women with smarts and hustle and ingenuity. But one thing that kind of disappoints me about the women of Adult Entertainment is their lack of cohesion and creative solutions. Why do we not have a Webcam Girls Union of sorts? Why do we not have lucrative sites where we can all gather and Promote the hell out of ourselves under the guise of a pay site? I mean think of it this way, Let's say we gather 100 Camgirls and models and panty sellers and so on, and we create a site for them all to pretty much go wild, and charge enough to keep the site running and paid for as well as enough to pay a dedicated webmaster, and the rets of the site is a thinly veiled Promotion paradise for all of our endeavors. It isn;t even really a site designed to make money, but to draw in guys who really want a good experience being online and a place where they can find the webcam girl, panties, domme, or whatever. because we allow girls to come and go like the Bunny Ranch...since it is about everyone advertising their stuff and giving some content up to do it....This would explode the business of those involved.
Just an idea.
B.
Women of adult don't lack creative solutions as some do very smart self-promotion and sites (of themselves), and idea you posted "why not have 100 camgirls unite in a site" so to get 80% instead of 30%-50% demonstrates no lack of ideas and so on.
I run a cam site and we, the site owners, take "our ideas" from what models and members tell us, and from reading forums including this one.
Women of adult lack (as you say) "cohesion", and this is enough to explain why never a site run by cam models existed and why probably never will exist.
As long as models simply try all sites and complain there's no traffic there or there traffic but low % (hey is obvious as 1+1=2 that if a site has traffic will lower % like hell, as girls will accept to work even for 1% if there's traffic). And especially if a model find a site where she do good $$, she will not call all other models there, but instead she will make sure no other cam girl will know and so no competing models will come to eat her valuable traffic and split the $$.
As models complain of sites having too many models so if you are not in first page (impossible if site has 800+ online always) you'll not do enough $$, so cam girls actually hate other models esp. those stealing traffic and positions in home page's.
So imagine an "union of cam girls" site, where there's let's say 10 girls, will them be so happy to welcome all cam girls so is 100 then 1000 girls there? As if they do it, the initial 10 girls will make 1% of what they made initially, so is not worth to them to invite anyone, and so, one girl site again, self promotion - or eventually re-sell a few gf's but then that's not an union is just a boss of a cam site who do like other cam site bosses, just is a girl.
A true story: a site I had run before of current one was a goldmine for a few girls - not all, but a few was doing really insane $$ I mean several thousands a month. I asked them if they could tell this around or post in those model forums in threads about my site, and answer was: "No really, why I would want to invite girls who will steal my guys at your site and so make less money myself?". And then I understood why in model forums, the models just write bad of all sites :)
Fabio
*sigh* ::)
I've been down that road before a long time ago. The critical thing to me is, what type of traffic would I be receiving?
I gave up on several of the listing sites because I spent way too much time being innundated with messages from guys who had no interest in paying along with a hefty percentage of non-English speaking traffic which did me no good and wasted my time.
Those prices would be reasonable if the traffic quality were comparable to a site like Streamate where you know everyone messaging you holds a valid credit card.
Solo model site run by the model, maybe 2-3 models together in a site, or those indy sites that aniway miss resources for be traffic thing like a streamate or mfc. Do I miss some big site? We was talking of a site with 100+ cam models in it, so quite big, run by cam models "like union", it means there not a boss who take %, but money is shared equally to all models and is paid only like a salary of a webmaster.
*sigh* Yes it does exist.
EXACTLY I am just trying to keep my mouth shut here.. ugh!
