LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
hey ladies, so moneys been tight and i been thinking strongly about dancing. any tips you can give would help.
What scares me is being comfortable dancing naked for people and how its going to affect my love life.
If anyone actually reads this, please tell me (if this aint to personal) how has your love life been since you became a dancer? like has it gotten better, same, worse...?
my vision is, its gonna be hard for me to find a serious relationship with a guy, like its gonna be hard for me to earn his 100% trust.
i been told your suppose to keep relationships separate from work but it seems hard to me not to talk about things with my bf and keeping "work" stuff a secret makes me feel like i will cause him to have suspicions of me cheating on him and stuff...
this is whats scares me away from dancing.

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
Relationships really depend on you. If you plan to make a full career out of this then having a relationship can be next to impossible. For me it just doesn't work. If you plan to do this just for a few years then it can be fine. Some girls don't want to be touched after work, & then there are others like me who feel more sexually energized after working. It really will depend on you.

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
thanks for reading and thank you for that link. well i dont know how long i plan on doing this, i talked to my brother's girlfriend (who is a dancer) and she told me that i may end up getting stuck and doing it forever,
well what makes you say its next to impossible, have you tried to do serious relationships before, or you just never cared to get that serious?
this became a concern to me because my brother tells me sometimes that he is scared because his gf is so secretive at times and he doesnt wanna say anything to her cause he doesnt wanna cause any drama cause she "appears" to love him dearly and he doesnt wanna screw things up. the reason why im asking why you think its impossible is because she is the type of dancer that would probably never quit....she thinks its the best job for her....i hope im not digging too deep into the mud here...

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
^^^ I've been in multiple long term relationships since I began dancing.
The biggest problem is that often:
- They don't want to hear the good stories about the customers
- Thus you only share the bad stories
- Then they want you to quit your job because "it's terrible"
Plus there is all the jealousy, & if your significant other trying to control your career. Ugh, who needs that?!

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
Back to my old proverb: Strippers are like pet tigers. They are nice to look at but they are not for everyone. It takes a certain kind of man to deal with our lifestyles. I was a dancer before I met Chris, and I'll probably be dancing after him. I'll be damned if I let a penis control my life and career choices!
Don't get me wrong I love him, and I think that he is quite well equipped to handle this tiger! Rawr!

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
yeah i understand that jealousy thing, i had way too many jealous bfs. the one i have right now is far from that, he's amazing, i actually thought he was gay when i first met him. he is ok with me dancing as long as he doesnt come into the club and actually sees me doing it cause then it would bug him. hes dated a few dancers before so i guess he has that experience. its funny cause every girl he dated was a dancer yet he never met them in the club, just the girls he met just happen to be one.
anyway what started my concern was my brothers gf. My brother said she has fans that buys her gifts and hes ok with that but just recently some dude bought her a bunch of sexy outfits and a whole bunch of junk and mailed it to her to the club and supposedly he wants nothing in return from her but her company. he found that very fishy and it raised a red flag to me on her.
have you ever had anyone buy you gifts and not ask you for anything in return? is this a common thing?

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
It's not common but it does occur sometimes. The best advice I can give you is shit happens. You either pick yourself up and learn from your mistakes or you keep repeating them. You're not in for an easy ride and I'm not going to tell you that it's gonna be a fucking fairy tale because it's not.
Only the strong survive in this business.
It took me a long time to find this one. I had to kiss a lot of frogs before I found my prince.

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
I've had customer bring me all kinds of stuff: meals, desserts, cds, flowers, shirts, perfume, lingerie all the way up to things in the $500 - $1K range. It's very dispersed in between but this does happen.

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
I've had customers attempt to give me human body parts. That's a little much.

Skulls. He tried to give them to me. 3 days later he was arrested. He told me there was a surplus. I only got his first name then I saw this on the news and I was like WTF?

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
wow i knew a dude, dont wanna say his name, he's a very popular musician who had real human skulls in his basement that he stole from this old graveyard in new orleans. its a place for poor people to bury their loved ones. i mean they just wrap them in self made coffins or just bury them in body bags there. its sad. so all their bones eventually pop out of the ground. its my favorite place to roam:rip:}:D

Who knows? I took his money and tossed his business card. More than likely he was trying to profit from the sale of human remains. It's nothing new. Back in the 18th century there was a duo known as Burke and Hare that would steal bodies to sell to medical schools. They were known as "resurrection men"

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!

you know, you should have given that info to the police, and request to be anonymous . maybe you could have gotten some kind of reward.

I didn't say anything. You know my stance on LE. Lol what could I say? "Um this suspect you just arrested is attempting to trade human remains in exchange for sexual favors?"
He was a creepy motherfucker even by my liberal standards.

I don't do cops. Ever since that bullshit arrest last year by APD I have not been a fan.

Re: LOVE LIFE of a STRIPPER...PLEASE HELP!!!
^^^ What arrest? You do know that SW pinkies have now "made friends" with 3 members of the APD & 2 members of state.
(This is where Athena should be coming in to re-iterate how much she also hates cops!)

Following a domestic violence call the officers ran my name and informed me I had a $100 traffic warrant from 2005. I didn't think anything of it, and figured I'd take care of it during the week.
About a week later I was walking to the Wal Mart on San Mateo and central when a patrol car stopped me in the parking lot of the circle K. It was the same cop who had responded to the domestic violence call. Basically he just wanted a collar and he had recognized me by my tattoos and my hair. I was handcuffed and put in the back of the squadcar PREGNANT at high noon in summertime.
I was taken to MDC. I was put in a holding cell with several other women. 1 was coming off of meth and the rest were drunk. I didn't even get to be booked. The judge was annoyed that I had even been arrested in the first place. It seems it cost more to process me in there than the actual cost of the warrant.
