Question About Approaching Customers
So this is my 1st day browsing this site, and I've already learned tons. I've only been to clubs a few times, but here's something I'm always been curious about:
When girls approach customers is it usually because they think he's attractive, wealthy, an easy hustle....or some combination of these three???
-
Re: Question About Approaching Customers
no, it's usually because she approaches everyone who doesn't seem like a complete creep, because you never know who'll have money to spend, and you never know who'll end up liking you.
your question is so silly.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
In any business how do you decide which customer to approach? It's a job.
-
Re: Question About Approaching Customers
@ SSS: Thx for your response, but it's not silly to me. I'm here to learn.
@ P: Thx for your response too. When I used to cold call prospects, I'd target them based on certain criteria. So I thought you guys were doing the same. Otherwise, it just seems so random.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
I'm actually very selective about who I approach. I usually take a seat in a far-off corner and watch the crowd for a while before deciding. I try to avoid the problematic ones from the get go and if the bar happens to be filled with assholes, I pick one who seems easiest for me to reform into a good customer. My emotional well-being takes priority over money. Of course, it is still a numbers game in the end so I wouldn't advise anyone to be this picky if they're looking to make a lot of money every night.
Hope that was somewhat relevant to your question.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
I approached based on who I thought was more likely. For instance my customers were usually older guys (white and black) so I approached them first. Then I approached others unless they called me over. I approached them for money, never dating.
I think you are a troll.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
I could honestly care less how attractive you are. I approach guys based on body language actually. If you are sitting at a table with your arms and legs tightly crossed I will assume you don't want to be approached. If you make eye contact as I'm passing by then I will stop by as well. I tend to steer clear of younger guys (21-24) because they usually want more bang for their buck and I literally mean $1. WE aren't at work to date. We are at work to work (you).

But when you list "attractive" as a criterion, it sounds like you think they might possibly be looking for a boyfriend or a hookup rather than to sell some dances. If a waitress at the Waffle House served you breakfast, would you think there was a serious posibility she wanted to adopt you as her son? When people do their job, you normally assume they're doing it because it's their job. I think that's the basis for the reaction that you're being silly.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
Ok. I see your point...and hers. I've learned a lot here in the last 24 hrs! It's just a fantasy we're buying and they're selling. Nothing more and nothing less...

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
Who's the troll, SFG or Dolly ? Either way, I don't get it /:O ??

Not Dolly. If SFG is one, he's good at it, he sounds sincere if extremely naive. Or are YOU just being a call everybody a troll troll?

I was talking about the OP because this is perhaps the stupidest question I've ever seen a customer ask. In all my years dancing I've never heard of a dancing approaching a customer because he was hot unless he looked wealthy.

It's just a major, major male fantasy that somewhere we're going to find women who will pork anything on two legs just like we will. (It's kinda like how you all think there are has to be plenty of guys out there who like shopping and aren't gay.) Dancers are often a target of that fantasy, as I'm sure I don't need to tell you.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
I would really like to know what is the definition of a "troll". To me, it's someone who lurks on a forum with bad intent, opposed to the main purpose of the board, and looking for a chance to jump onto a thread and show why someone is in the wrong.
When a self-confessed newbie comes along, saying "wow, I just found the place I can ask questions of actual strippers..." -- however crazy the question may be..... is this not the place for it ?
SuperFlyGuy : if you are indeed a troll (as Romie would say) "good night now" ! Otherwise, welcome to the board.

I think a troll means somebody who posts really offensive stuff, to try to generate lots of angry resonding posts. It not troll like under a bridge, it's trolling for angry responses like trolling for fish. But trolls will keep repeating the offensive stuff, they normally won't listen to others and change their minds like SFG did.

It's because you are so hot that you are the biggest boob magnet in the room.
Seriously though, how have you spent the day (or even an hour) browsing thus site and not been able to answer this question already?

I hate shopping so that's like saying all dancers like to shop and all men like to screw anything with a pussy. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I know plenty of men who won't screw everything around. These guys give me faith in males.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
I will say that I know girls that I work with that will approach a guy or sit with his broke ass for hours just because he's attractive.

Re: Question About Approaching Customers
i always approached based on body language. Did he seems receptive or not? if so, I approached. If not, then I walked away. Unless it was the end of the night or I was in a pissy mood...then i approached almost anyone.
-
Re: Question About Approaching Customers
I approach anyone who looks at me or looks like they will spend money on me. It's never about attraction for me.

Do you mean when the club is dead or will they actually loose money in order to sit with Mr. Broke Ass Hot Guy?
-
Re: Question About Approaching Customers
^^ Both. The part that is stupid is just sitting with a guy for free because he's good looking. However, it works in my favor because I will go to the guys that actually have money and do all the dances ;)

They are idiots for doing that. Strangely, I usually went after the ugliest and fattest guys because they knew they couldn't get to spend time with a hot girl without tipping.
