Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
I've seen girls dance to full term. Personally I think they just need to ask their doctor about it before doing it.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
I worked with a girl that danced until she was 7 months. She tried to do pole ticks and fell all the time, don't know if she hurt that baby or not.
She used to tell me she'd drink diet coke so the caffine would keep the baby awake while she was working, why do some people breed?

BOOOOOO!!!!
There is a girl at work who claims she maybe pregnant but isn't sure and she continues to drink alcohol anyway. I asked her why doesn't she take a test to make sure. She said she took a test and it said invalid. I never heard of such a thing but whatever. If I were her, I'd go take another test. So, I asked her about the drinking. What if she was, and she has been drinking this entire time? She said, "Oh I drank during my last pregnancy and my kid turned out fine."
:banghead: Booo to the tenth power on this one.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
I feel a bit bad when girls have to work THAT FAR into their pregnancy. :(
That's gotta be miserable

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
If she's not dancing vigorous on stage or when doing a LD I don't see why it would be dangerous ... not unless she's suppose to be bed ridden due to a complicated pregnancy and that's what the doctor recommends. Pregnant women have sex, even till full term, and that doesn't hurt the baby. Some women exercise; yoga, running, etc. ... and the baby is fine. If the pregnant woman is healthy and has a healthy pregnancy, IMHO I don't see it being bad for her and the baby that she's dancing.
On another note ...
I worked w/ a gal that was pregnant ... not sure how far along she was but her belly was really out there. I felt bad because she HAD to dance. The father of the baby was a total loser and dancing was her only way to earn a living. I moved away before she gave birth. I think about her from time to time. I hope she and the baby are doing well ... and she got rid of the loser boyfriend.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
i guess some people might have a fetish for it but thats no reason to put yourself and baby in danger. Imagine having your water break on someones lap....
its really just the worst environment to be 8 months pregnant in...

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
I know even some pregnant ladies lost their balance and fell while on downstairs and hurted theirselves and babies.By the way she is wearin heels she can lose her balance any time. Sometimes even easy activities can be harder and more dangerious when people pregnant ... especially dancing might be dangerious as well. She is doin stage and lap dances... Her water can break too like Anouk.oui said...

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
I have a hard time believing that any doctor would say wearing stripper heels at 8 months pregnant is safe, but they probably don't tell their doctors that they're stripping.
I think it's gross. Yes, I said it and I don't really care who it offends. It looks incredibly desperate and sad when an obviously pregnant woman is stripping. Everybody who looks at her knows damn well she needs the money to survive and assumes that she has no one in her life to help her. What a buzzkill for the customers.
I've bitten my tongue the very few times I've seen it but I really wanted to pull them aside and tell them to go home and cam. It is a fetish but it doesn't belong in the club, IMHO.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
Actually camming might be more more more safer.... i agree

I agree with the heels bit. I mean, I am not pregnant and used to wearing the heels and sometimes I still get clumsy and slip. Also there are certain parts of the club that have nicks in the floor and I forget. What about all the times somebody got baby oil on the stage? That is just asking for trouble.
As far as attractiveness goes, or whether she looks desperate... I think it depends. As far as the customers go, I understand it is a fetish, but that is it. I don't think most men would find that attractive. There have been instances where girls have gone on stage that had a little bit of a stomach pooch, and the customers I have sat with assumed they were pregnant. They said such horrible things about the girls. Imagine if they really were pregnant and even larger.
Not to mention, I haven't even been at work all week due to a sinus infection. If I were 8 months pregnant with the swollen ankles, nausea, extreme exhaustion, etc... You better believe I would be home in bed. I would be watching tv and eating pie lol. It is difficult enough when perfectly healthy and well rested to pretend to enjoy being around these fuckers.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
there's a pregnant girl at my club too it just weirds me out to see her dancing like that. a lot of the customers don't like it either. one guy was like "is she that desperate for money that she has to work while she's pregnant?"
whatever I guess if she's ok with it then that's her business. personally I wouldn't but if she needs the money then hey whatever.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
at a dive bar, well doesnt every dive bar have its resident obviously pregnant chick?
anyway, yea, bad for the baby. worse for the baby if its a smoking bar.
i worked at a smaller upscale club for a while... when one of the girls got pregnant they made her hostess or house mom for the time being to keep her from dancing and also to help her out. but she was there for a long time and was a valued dancer because she brought in a lot of money. i think if a girl has worked at a club for a long time and been a good worker then this is a nice thing for a club to do.

that's a good idea I didn't even think about that. I wish the management at my club was nice enough to let our resident pregnant lady do that

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
I'm surprised the club would even allow it. Due to liability reasons.
I've seen signs at club that said if you're pregnant, you need to notify the manager.
I guess if the doctor is okay with it, the club is okay with it, the girl is okay with it....you gotta make a living. As long as she's not doing insane pole tricks, not smoking, not drinking....
Personally, if I walked into a club and saw an 8 month pregnant chick on stage, I'd walk right out.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
yeah, i thought you just became a temporary waitress when you got pregnant. i hate seeing pregnant dancers working the floor. mostly because it is awkward for everyone else, but the stress of dancing...
i did work with someone who got an abortion earlier that day and it was very VERY noticeable.

How so? I'm really curious about this. Was she bleeding or something? I can't think of anything that would make me look at a girl and think she'd just had an abortion...
Was she noticeably pregnant one day and then just not pregnant the next?

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
yikes. regardless of anything else, clubs in NOLA allow smoking and that is definitely not good for an unborn kiddo...
although i knew quite a few girls who did the dancer/waitress transition when they were pregnant.
i understand needing a job...but there is no way you'd catch me dancing while breeding, i'd rather be dead...

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
Where I work, there's a girl who's pregnant, and she gets a whole lot of money! She comes to the clients with a tragic story about her hubby not getting enough BAH (she's a navy wife), and that she's dancing as a last resource.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
There is no way I would dance past 3-4 months if I was preggers personally.
But it shouldnt really be dangerous to the baby. Heck my good friend was doing spin classes in month 8 .. approved by her doctor. There are risks obviously of falling and its probably not the most healthy thing to do for her own health when she should be sleeping at night and preparing for the birth. My boss would not let someone like that work anyway.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
she had gotten the abortion 1 day before the legal cut off. so even though she was heavier, her stomach was definitely larger than...i dunno, some people have big stomachs. i remember wondering if men could tell whether she was pregnant or if they just thought she was large.
anyway, i guess she got an abortion before work, and she came in that night, and her torso was like....bruised and deflated? i remember being shocked that she was there and then i saw her tummy and it was like a different color.

Re: 8 months old pregnant and dancing?
i realize that everyone has to make money and by all means dance until you start showing but please find an alternative when you start to look like a stripper with a beachball attached to you! no, the corset dosn't hide it. no, no one believes it's a beer gut. no, it is not ok to continue to drink - at all! and finally... no, it is so not ok to continue to work the rest of the shift after your water breaks at work!!! ewwww!!! (yes, this happened at my club. what classy girls i work with!)
