Heyy Everyone!
Just joined SW in hopes of getting enough courage to finally start dancing! I'm from Chicago but I recently just moved down to Florida for school. I have absolutely no experience in dancing and I've only been in one strip club for about 5 minutes, yikes! But I think I'll take some pole dancing lessons before I actually start. All the forums are really helpful though so thank you!
P.S.- If anyone in the central florida area is feeling generous and wants to help a new girl out, message me! :P

Re: Heyy Everyone!
Hey! Welcome!
the hardest part of starting is actually getting on stage for the audition. after that, well im not gonna say its a piece of cake, but you will be brave enough to keep going.
i wouldnt worry about taking pole classes. most girls dont know how to do a damn thing on the pole when they audition the first time. that comes with time. not to mention a lot of pole dancing classes really dont teach the flow and sensuality that can only come with being a stripper, many are for housewives to entertain themselves or are just trendy things for wannabe party girls to do. start out at a laid back club and pole work will not be a requisite. and you can learn the good ol fashioned way, just like most of us did! ;)

Re: Heyy Everyone!
Welcome to SW!
I'm just going to be upfront & say that there are a LOT of places in FL that are not prime to work. It's a very "extras" (sexual favours) ridden area, & very high contact in most places. The only place in FL that I've danced is West Palm Beach, but I know there are a number of girls on here who have worked other areas.
Just a heads up though that if you try it & don't like it, try other places - possibly other cities. They aren't all the same, but FL is know to be very hard to work.

Hey babe!
How's UCF treatin' ya? Lol -that's where I used to go, anyway. It's rough dancing around that area but there are a few girls on here who live in Central FL still - they can probably give you some updated info on where's good to work right now.
Don't bother with the pole dancing classes at the moment - you'd be better off spending several hours here on SW learning how to hustle. Pole work doesn't = lots of $$.
Good luck!

Re: Heyy Everyone!
but if you are hell bent on learning pole work since it looks pretty and helps you tone up lol you can get your very own pole to practice on at home and there are several vids on youtube that can actually teach you alot. that's what i did. just be careful as this option is not for everyone since most would recommend that you have a spotter and/or a floor mat. my boyfriend spots me whenever i'm trying to learn a difficult trick.
