i just layer a small amount on the areas to be shaven. i only use it down there, so a tube (i buy the store brand) will last me about a month. it's def worth it bc i've never been soo smooth! it clogs up your razor a bit though, so you have to rinse with hot water after you use it.
1) Use warm towels on area for five minutes to open up pores.
3) apply shave gel in a circular motion using a big make up brush
2) bikini zone shave gel is best.
4)go against the hair gently in short strokes
5)apply vitamin e oil and a&d ointment on sensitive parts.
6)once it's dry you can use kat von d concealer along your legs (it's meant for tattoos but i use it when i look a little red)
hope that helps
Great tips thanks....ive been better...now that i shave every day i think my skin got used to it...plus i put on deodorant after and like lotion in the shower..just try to keep my skin soft...
Thanks
Im not pro or anything but I have noticed that the intuition shaver works really good or shave with conditioner. Cheap and effective. :)
neosprin TRUST ME
Seriously...bikini zone shave gel and then the bikini zone cream after! I had the worst razor burn until I started using the bikini zone products. Hope they work for you!
It's true, neosporin is the only thing that works. I usually just use regular shaving cream and apply neosporin afterward, but using it in place of shaving cream also works.
Not trying to be cheap or anything but i do like to save where i can so instead of Neosporin how about the Walgreens brand? or CVS, or ...?
As long as it's the same active ingredients (and the same % of the active ingredients) there shouldn't be much of a difference. Neosporin contains neomycin sulfate, bacitracin zinc, and polymyxin B, so just look for a store brand that lists these ingredients on the label.
Ya, thats what i was thinking.
The more i save the more shoes i can buy!!!! ;D
I tried using neosporin but I'm not sure if it was the wrong kind.. it was the clear kind and not the white kind. It was horrible lol the razor was sliding all over the place and barely shaving me...it would be like trying to shave with vaseline...I'm gona try the other kind tho :)
Bikini Zone works really well for me, however, it took a couple weeks for my skin to get used to it when I started using it a few months ago. Now it doesn't burn at all and I verrrrrryyy rarely have any reddness or in-growns.
2 words: COOCHIE CREAM.
^HELL YES
I was just coming here to post that!
what the hell is coochie cream? lol i can see me now wondering around the drugstore and a lady asking if i need help, "yeah...wheres your coochie cream?" :O
I have sensitive skin also- I was skeptical about neosporin. It works pretty well, ( closer shave, and no razor burn).
Coochie cream is a shaving cream they have at adult shops. It works like a CHARM! I pretty much suffer from razor bumps and now I can actually shave every day with no bumps... Love it. The only thing is that it's not inexpensive (compared to shaving cream)... $7 for a small travel sized bottle. But I mean it'll do the job.
U can also order it from a pure romance consultant, or buy it online.
I use deodorant to keep down my razor burn :) makes your skin super soft and easy to shave everyday. I'm going to start waxing soon but I've been using this method for a year and it hasn't failed me yet
Straight rubbing alcohol. Yes, it hurts, but it closes the pores so you can put lotion on. If you put on lotion without closing the pores, you get more bumps. That's what a girl told me when I started dancing and I tried it and it actually worked. And for those of you that want more money for shoes...lol...rubbing alcohol is dirt cheap!
I sell pure romance, n not trying to sell anything on here but they sell coochy cream, it really works .. it helps take the red bumps away in any area, n guys can use it as well.. here's the site (I wont put my site for I don't think ppl want me selling on the website, its not there for that lol) I hope this helps cuz it works for me :)
Laser hair removal really is the only way to totally do away with razor burn. It cost me $1800 to do bikini and perineal, but its been worth every penny. I used to have the worst razor burns and ingrowns...now I barely shave down there (just a few stray hairs now and then). Since its permanent, I left a triangle instead of getting it all off. I work in a nude club and I get lots of compliments. Definitely recommend it. :)
