I recently left my club, which, I'm quite happy to say, is one of the safest and most professional clubs in Sydney - and by that I mean, they play by the rules. And if you don't play by the rules, you don't get away with it. And we were all made VERY aware of the laws and our rights. I would recommend it to anyone and everyone.
And obviously, the great thing about that is that everyone is on an equal playing field, you make money based on your looks and on your hustle, not based on how many extras you're willing to throw into the market!
Anyway, I decided to leave due to the fact that I was having a very difficult time making money there - it had once been a gold mine, whereas prior to my leaving, I was lucky to make the $150 retainer, which, in my mind, is not worth the effort of taking your clothes off all night. So i decided to dance at a club just down the road, which I had heard was one of the only places in Sydney where money was like how it use to be!
I went in with my boyfriend to have an interview and look at the club, and did my first and last shift there a few days later. The management seemed very professional, and the club was beautiful! Incense burning, plush leather couches, gold trim everywhere, beautiful art - you get the picture. Between the two of us, we asked all of the relevant questions and seemed almost too good to be true. That being said, we were not offered a tour of the club, nor did we get a chance to talk with any of the girls - we were escorted (kindly) upstairs once all appropriate forms had been filled out.
So I arrived on time for my first shift, which happened to be Melbourne Cup night (a big night in any SC in Australia) and was ready to make some serious dollars. And the floor manager greats me for the evening, and proceeds to tell me (within the first 5 minutes of talking to him) how he's willing to turn a blind eye to anything that I might choose to do in the Private Rooms, and that he'll just stick his head in to warn if police are doing any walk throughs.
Instantly, this sat with me badly. He also told me about how he used to work at my old club, and how my manager had fired him, etc. (not good warning signs)
Anyway, I brushed it off, and went out onto the floor and got stuck into it right away. Being new, I had no problem making money, and had a fantastic night money wise (the first $1k night in a long time) but also put up with a lot of shit that I have never before, in my life, had to put up with.
The customers expected too much, to the extent where I had a gentleman walk briskly into a private room, pull his trousers down and get his dick out (ON MY PODIUM) and look at me expectantly. I went and got security, and they didn't give a shit. I then told one of the female managers who then sorted it out, and had the man removed.
Anyway, I came to the conclusion that the club, despite the money, was not worth my integrity and having to risk getting into huge shit with NSW law! I'd rather work 5 nights, and average on $150 - $200 per night, then put up with that crap. I'm partially just having a vent, because I find it so unfair that this club is allowed to operate in such a way that it more or less forces girls into providing extras and breaking the law! It's not even a case of competing with extras, its more a case of being expected to that bothered me the most.
So I sent a lengthy email to the owner, who promptly defended the way that the club was run, and that they were unaware of these goings on and that they would be investigating into it... but still.. Just kinda wanted to get it out there. Sorry if it's not allowed.

How soon is too soon to return back to my old club? I left on good terms with management, and have been told that I'd be welcomed back, but after two weeks of leaving... think it's too soon?
