thanks for ur help;D
I'm on Webcams.com and recently signed up for i-Payout. Now Webcams.com payday is every Friday, I believe, but surprising late last night/super early this morning I got an e-mail notification that I had been paid from Webcams on i-Payout (Sweet!), and it's only Thursday. I chose the option to have the funds transferred to my bank debit card (MasterCard). It was a $6 fee. I probably should've just chosen to have it transferred to my bank account (not much of a difference since the MasterCard is linked to my bank account) since that would've only been a $3 fee. Anyway, it said that the money should be available within 3 - 5 business days.
I am reading through their fees and I see this: FX Conversion $0.00 + 2.00% Per Transaction
What is FX conversion?
Anyone in the US using them? I am wondering if I switch to them if I will be charged 2% of my money for each transaction if I just transfer to a bank account or withdraw from an ATM?
FX = Foreign eXchange.
Hmmm... so I'm assuming every time I withdraw I'm giving them 2%?
Doesn't sound worth switching all my stuff over for that 1% difference. Payoneer takes 3% I believe.
I am not sure how many canadians are using these new services. but I will stick with getting check in the mail.
streamate and cams can do a wire transfer directly into my bank account it might cost me about $40 but it a lot better then have too many services dipping into my money.
When I get checks in the mail. I bring them to money mart I can cash them or load them on my money mart master card for a lower fee i believe. or bring them to my bank and put them in my US dollar account then transfer to the canadian account.
i know it might seem complicated but it just what I have to do to keep the cost down.
I think these services like payoneer and ipayout make sense if your over in europe and need your money from us here with the smallest hassle as possible, but over here in north america it seems the less services invovled the better.
It doesn't seem to be bad unless you're using the cards. Granted, it seems to take just as long for my iPayout money to get to my bank as a check would, but it's digital and I don't have to worry about my incompetent postman. The cards seem to be where the ass gets reamed.
the transfer to bank is flat rate and reasonable.
Minnie, when you deposit them in your US account, do they still hold the money? Every time I deposit a check into my (Canadian) account they always tell me some BS about having to wait 20 business days, but it always only takes 5 business days. If there is no hold at all with an American account, I'll probably open one...
This.
There's been so many screw-ups with mail, it's ridiculous. I've actually gotten my neighbor's medication in the mail. :( And I've even gotten mail that wasn't for a resident of my neighborhood...this person lived in a different neighborhood like 20 minutes away.
Silly I-payout question. I had my money transferred onto my ''debit card.'' It says it has been transferred, but how do I know that it is there?
