Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
I'm a bona fide MBTI expert (which may prove useful in hustling }:D), ever since I had to take this for career counseling (and no, they did NOT recommend dancing).
http://similarminds.com/cgi-bin/newmb.pl
Whadja get or what are you if you already know? Me myself, I'm an ENTJ. 8)
I'm curious to see what types of you ladies (and guys?) represent the adult industry. There probably is no real correlation, but I made theoretical ones.

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
Very "strong" ISTJ.
We took the quiz and had a brief course at work. They lined us up based on our I/E results, etc. and I was often towards the end of the line.
I'm a technical person (engineer) and while there was a diversity of types in our work group, the ISTJ was the most common.

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
i've taken it a bajillion times, and i always get intp.
basically, i ought to be in some dark room somewhere decoding secret messages or fixing complex machines. stripping is pretty much the exact opposite of what i should be doing. but i love it. i just have to accept that there are parts that will always be a struggle.

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
ISTJ and INTP strippers? Not what I expected, but only 2 responses so far!
I suppose my interest in starting up an adult business and domination is more in line with the typical ENTJ profile, but an odd match nonetheless.

Libra, just to clarify I'm a customer! Lol :D

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
I've taken the test numerous times and I've always gotten INFP.
They recommended an artistic or counseling type of career. I guess dancing is kind of artistic?

Really? Darn. I thought the engineer-by-day, dancer-by-night image was pretty rock and roll... ;)

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
I just did this in one of my courses at uni. I was an ENFP

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
Yep thats pretty much me... Although I am very responsible... damn parents raising me that way. I have to constantly fight my instincts to be responsible though.
outgoing, social, disorganized, easily talked into doing silly things, spontaneous, wild and crazy, acts without thinking, good at getting people to have fun, pleasure seeking, irresponsible, physically affectionate, risk taker, thrill seeker, likely to have or want a tattoo, adventurous, unprepared, attention seeking, hyperactive, irrational, loves crowds, rule breaker, prone to losing things, seductive, easily distracted, open, revealing, comfortable in unfamiliar situations, attracted to strange things, non punctual, likes to stand out, likes to try new things, fun seeker, unconventional, energetic, impulsive, empathetic, dangerous, loving, attachment prone, prone to fantasy

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
I got INFJ - and apparently some famous people in this category are/were:
Nathaniel Hawthorne
Martin Luther King, Jr., civil rights leader
Eleanor Roosevelt
Mohandas Gandhi
Ludwig Beethoven
Yes...this sounds fitting for me..

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
I've taken that test several times before, and always get a different result. I'm pretty inconsistent with my personal morals/beliefs and change them daily depending on my mood, so it doesn't really surprise me - although each time I take it I try to be as candid as possible.
Makes me feel kinda flighty though....

INTP. Apparently this hasn't changed in ten years, which lends some credibility.
Introverted (I) 71.88% Extroverted (E) 28.13%
Intuitive (N) 69.7% Sensing (S) 30.3%
Thinking (T) 76.67% Feeling (F) 23.33%
Perceiving (P) 69.44% Judging (J) 30.56%

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
Please tell us about your theories, too!
Mine is that certain traits (maybe high extroversion, feeling, and perception) lend themselves to creating "naturals"--those who find the job relatively easy from the beginning, and are able to make money without giving it too much thought. On the other hand, as an INTP, I will never tire of analyzing each encounter and adapting my increasingly elaborate theories on successful stripping as a result. It's my favorite aspect of the job (aside from the money, of course!). Stripping was totally foreign to me when I began, but my income and enjoyment of the job have skyrocketed because I feel I'm figuring out a "game" that never ends until you hang up your shoes. I love applying my analytical skills to novel situations, and stripping was novel as it got for me when I started. It still is even after three years because I'm so introverted. I also wouldn't be shocked if a large percentage of SW members were NTs, because a huge draw to the site is its preponderance of hustling strategies. Posting and reading Hustle Hut is certainly an analytical endeavor.
I'd love to hear your opinion too, she sells sanctuary.

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
I can't believe an ESFP or ESTP hasn't responded yet. Those were the types I associated most with this kind of work. xD

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
ENFP baby! Journalist- Uncanny sense of the motivation of others. Life is an exciting drama. 8.1% of the total population.
OH MY FUCKING GOD! Hahahaha. The test had a list of favorite carrers and hated careers, and the career that Im praying desperately for right now is under hated careers! Oh noooooooooooes! :(
OMG this test is soooooooo good. Im a little worried about this whole career thing now though actually... Because I`ve never wanted anything to do with this career. But I want what it could give Me, being money, freedom, power and my own personal personal assistant...oh right and to help people. But seriously, I REALLY want that personal office assistant. I am soooo going to go Devil Wears Prada on her ass. `I said low fat NO WHIP caramel latte you fool! Now do it again and do it right! And where`s the piece of paper that I had in my hand when I was in Vancouver three days ago? And where is my earing? I lost it somewhere between here and Calgary, find it!` MMOAHAHAHAHHAA. Miranda Priestly wont have SHIT on me!

omg. i totally agree with that.
one of the things that drove me nuts about my last club was that staff would always tell me to just relax, don't think about it, just do me, etc. NO!!!!! i want to analyze the fuck out of everything. once i do, i feel safe and i can relax. data is my security blanket.
i like how detached i can be about a lot of it. like i can look at my body and decide that i should get into better shape to make more money. i'm not insecure. it's just a fact. i make more money when i'm in better shape. same applies to every aspect of the business: outfits, makeup, hustle, clubs, days to work, how to smell. everything. i love analyzing and altering my looks and hustle according to what works. it's not a self-worth thing. it's a game, a very fun game.
compliments mean nothing to me (though i will like a person for giving them just cos i see them as sweet for saying it). money makes me happy. money means i'm doing it right. it doesn't make me feel attractive. tbh, i don't care about my looks much at all, one way or another. looks are just another piece of data to factor into it (which is why girls who look all sorts of ways can succeed in this business, if they have the right approach). it just means that i did things well. that's what matters most to me.
i may not be a natural, but when i'm able to approach the job in MY natural way, i can still make pretty good money.
one big downside is that it's bad to take time off. if i do, i almost always have to expect the first shift or two to totally suck. naturals can jump right in. i've got to warm up first.

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
^^I'm exactly the same way when it comes to detachment about my body and not caring about compliments. Whenever I talk about getting a boob job or asking if my makeup looks alright in the dressing room I come across as having low self-esteem when I really just want to maximize my profits. I ruminate on interactions with customers I've fucked up and yet there have only been two that have really upset or embarrassed me over three years. I kind of like negative criticism from guys because I can usually take much more away from it than I can with positive criticism. I think the job takes more mental energy for me than other girls, but less emotional energy. Not to say one way is better or smarter than the other, just that I'm probably weird for a stripper.
Same with the warm up, too.

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
Shout out to all the other ENFPs, baaaby!!! I'm heavy into M-B, esp. in terms of predicting compatibility. All my exes are either ENFPs or very similar too. Much better than horoscopes, IMO!

Re: Meyer-Briggs Personality Type (quiz inside)
We've done these same surveys before (search Keirsay or Myers-Briggs). The results are far from definitive, even just for strippers alone. Yes, surprising.

True that! But what's surprising is that even though we're less than 10% of the whole population, of the 10 or so replies to this thread, about 3 or 4 of us are ENFPs...
