Have you considered anything similar to this? So, a higher cut to the models than the huge sites that give 30-35%, but perhaps a part of a percentage that is held from each pay period to cover chargebacks if they do occur.
What they do is start to release the held rolling reserves fund after (several) weeks of it sitting there. They don't release it all at once, they back pay per week/pay period for each week or pay period that the funds were held "in escrow."
They take 23-26 wks to do this, but perhaps for your site, you could do a 90 day or 6 week period and then start releasing the percentage held back and having that supplement the girls' income as they continue on with the site.
Just thinking out loud. So, maybe a choice between a rolling reserve coupled with slightly higher pay or smaller percentage paid out to performer that is SLIGHTLY higher than the competition(to allow for chargebacks), but they get it faster?
Hope that makes sense. I wish I could break the actual numbers down more but I'm seriously in need of a noon naptime!
Hmm I am liking the escrow 90 day idea...oh and WAKE UP!!!! Sure wish I
had time for an afternoon nap!!!

lol...haaaa! I went to bed at 630am and woke up at 830am..I'm truly touched..hee hee...
I DID sleep like 12 hrs a day or two ago...does that count? =) Great chatting back and forth with u on IM...I'm glad you're researching so extensively and trying your hardest to make sure you do it right and efficiently!
Take advantage of how awesome Jenny is as a reource/soundboard, too, and for her being so gracious to let everyone pick her brain. I bow down! =)
WowBrand.com and WebYodel.com have really, really great tips for website promo/online business start-ups, etc, too.....Took pages of notes last night..That's where all the time went!

If you have a larger monitor then it is fine :( thanks for looking out.
Oh this version works great , apart from the sign up page where I can see the large grey area you mean. You'll know alot more than me about this but the words "absolute and 100%" are appearing in my head lol. I think you can change the coding somewhere somehow to make the pages "fit" the browser/screen. Nearly 5am here so Iv no idea what im talking about now :D

Ok give it a try now...it should be better now :) ha ha and believe me I wish
the absolute and 100% would have fixed it :) Usually 100% would have
worked so you where right IF the coders had wrote the code properly.
The thing is everyone does something different and figuring out what they
did...can be a pain!
I did make the gray area on the sign up page a little smaller...I have to do
a lil more to make it go away...

Yes, been busy fixing BUGS!!! Making last minute changes and trying to get everyone on the
same page for the affiliate program launch.
I knew they weren't going to tear down the doors come 1.1.11 as it is the holiday.
Also being a new site most people are going to take the, wait and see approach, So
we are planning the affiliate launch for Friday. At least that is the game plan.
I have huge affiliate teams in the Philippines, Panama and the US...just trying to get
the models on the same page also.

the charges. The charge back money would then be held for the probation period
before release.
If charge backs continued to happen then the model would have to eat the
charges or possibly the account canceled if fraud from the model is suspected.
We will do everything in out power to prevent charge backs from legit members
who are trying to claim fraud to get their money back.
This really rubs me the wrong way. 9 times out of 10 chargebacks are not the models fault. As mentioned previously in the thread, imlive is NOTORIOUS for chargebacks. every time I've had a chargeback on there, I had no complaint from the customer during the show and gave them exactly what they ask for. Most of these people are just doing chargebacks out of spite because they don't want to pay for the service they have already received from the model. Chargebacks are one of the reasons I pretty much stopped camming. It was too stressful worrying about whether I was actually going to get PAID for the work I was doing.

Its in the rules somewhere about this but I have limited knowledge about the subject.
Id start googling chargebacks and do alot of reading :) but there is a way to stop chargebacks as a merchant.
No. The credit card companies are hugely in favor of the customer in the case of chargebacks. The burden of proof is always on the merchant and it is next to impossible for an internet merchant to prove the charge was legitimate when a customer claims otherwise. I know from plenty of first hand experience.
I can see both sides of the argument on chargebacks. Models obviously don't want to eat any of it because they feel they're being ripped off for services rendered. Camsites don't want to eat the whole cost because they stand to lose a lot more than the models, PLUS it can easily be seen as tacit encouragement for models to purposely commit fraud by having friends buy cam time then charge back later. The site not only loses the amount of the original charge PLUS they get charged an additional fee, so if they have to pay the models plus the chargeback fees for all chargebacks, they stand to lose a LOT of money. They can also lose their merchant accounts (and therefore their entire business) for excessive chargebacks....
I know it sucks as a model to put on a show for some non-paying asshole, but it also sucks for a site to have to pay out all those extra fees on chargeback losses. To me it seems only fair for both parties to share in the loss and I'd damn well expect the site to perma-ban any customer who does a chargeback.
A chargeback isn't just a rip-off on the model but a rip-off on the site too. Why should the site have to bear the full burden of that cost? Unless of course they're taking 70% of the income - then yes I fully agree they should eat the chargebacks.

Re: WickVid.com: Webcam Models Wanted Earn 50% - 70%. A New Way 2 Cam!
Has anyone signed up for this site and worked on it? Is it open?

Re: WickVid.com: Webcam Models Wanted Earn 50% - 70%. A New Way 2 Cam!
Yes the site is actually live now...sorry that I have been away and not posting...just been busy
trying to get this thing moving...it is far from easy.
Trying to bring the models, customer and affiliates all together at once :) not easy at all. But hey
gotta keep on keepin on :)
Actually the affiliates aren't doing to bad...these guys can sale raid to a bug. Making
membership sales when there aren't even any models online! It's the models who have
very little faith or patients with a new site. Understandable as we all have to make money!

Re: WickVid.com: Webcam Models Wanted Earn 50% - 70%. A New Way 2 Cam!
Hello,
It's me again! I need some advice ladies...please and thank you. I need to
get my site jump started. So I am thinking about paying models per hour.
What I need to do is put together a schedule of girls that will be working
around the clock so that the affiliates can push sales.
12 girls working 3 at a time on 6 hour shifts
18 girls working 3 at a time doing 4 hour shifts
One or the other. What I need to know is what would be a good price to
pay the models hourly? The hourly rate would come from the $4.99 trial
period we charge for members to join.
Trust me...these affiliates can sale Raid to a Bug, Salt to a slug!

I suggest you copy your post and post it here:
http://forum.stripperweb.com/forumdisplay.php?f=134
Most of the models who work webcam are posting and reading in that particular section.

I would love to work your site and make hourly money. PM me when you decide on a price. :)
-
Re: WickVid.com: Webcam Models Wanted Earn 50% - 70%. A New Way 2 Cam!
I got an email about this yesterday. The price, according to the email, is $2 per hour
-
Re: WickVid.com: Webcam Models Wanted Earn 50% - 70%. A New Way 2 Cam!
Well...that is the price I am starting with. Maybe later I will raise it but it
depends on how well the affiliates do with the girls that sign up. I have
one person that told me it needs to be more than $4 or $5 and hour.
The whole thing is I just need models presence. I need to get the affiliates
excited about selling the site and it is hard when I have random models come
online here and there.
