That one is awesome thanks hun.
I spent a ridiculous amount of hours reading both XBiz and YNOT articles today! Whew! But great reads!
I'm gonna bookmark this page so I can keep these articles handy. Thx ladies! :)
Hey, Ameera!
I thought I'd get lost reading 'techy' material, but it was all very well-written and engaging. I felt like a hamster on a wheel: One article led to one link, which led to another link, which led to another article. But they were all good leads and not spammy....yay! It's damn near 6am and I really should think about sleeping, eh? lol
Thx London!!! I am very tech challenged and sometimes don't understand certain things, so I DO hope it will be something I can catch on to fast.
So you been up all night? Almost 6am? You must be in cali, but I was thinking you were in the Uk because of your name. Now I feel like a slacker! I use to stay up all night working, when I lived alone, but now I mainly work "normal" hours.
I need to get back to working more than the typical 8 hours a day! Off to make a few videos::::::::
I am soooo technically challenged Im trying to learn all that I can to build my brand.
Yes, I was up a little later than normal on that particular night..But I woke up at 3pm that day so I suppose it evened out!
I'm having a good time looking at all of the info via quite a few adult AND non-adult internet markerting resource sites online. On Friday night, I looked into the different ways in which Google's products can be used to promote your online business.
I'm wondering if the items for their Google Checkout store that you can create with your gmail account would be fine with users listing various items for sale, so long as they were perhaps non-nude, not too explicit, etc or whether they frown on any of it at all. Still looking into all of that and for the first time ever, I've been looking at every possible online marketing source's privacy statements, terms, and conditions...
I'll add some more interesting articles as they come along, if you'd like!
Oh, and
1)HubPages' blog and marketing resources link have been good recent finds! Much of their advice is very novice-friendly, which I still am!
and
2)WishStamp.com seems great for email accounts that are tied to your persona. You can make an email signature that offers direct links to your profile on most major social media sites:Twitter, FB, LinkedIn, etc...
Did you find anything about Google Checkout and what they allow?? I've been reading their info but I don't see anything about explicit material... Anyone else use them??
Oh, nevermind. Answered my own question.
"Unacceptable content: Adult goods and services
Pornography and other sexually suggestive materials (including literature, imagery and other media); escort or dating services; novelties and toys"
You have very few choices with processing unfortunately.
maybe someone with some resources could figure out how to setup better processing for us.
I guess AlertPay as a business is the only way to go?
(Miss Ego,
Yeah, I just signed up for Alert yesterday! Yay!)
For others who are curious about Alert Pay:
I read their services and terms and so long as you aren't marketing underage/bestiality/ no-no type material/products, you're fine to market your services with them and likely most of their third party shopping carts.
It even spells it out for selling webcam shows, adult videos, etc...It is, however, considered high-risk because of the potential for charge backs, so they raise the fee to about 6.25 + a few cents, plus .50 cent fee per transaction.
Is there some reason more of you aren't looking into www.ccBill.com? For Visa & you need a $750 deposit for adult content, but they are a trusted processor. Also, if you can't afford to put the $750 but you know someone else in the business whom you trust, consider doing a partner account with them where you would process your payments through their account for a small percentage of the profit.
CCbill is awesome. If you ever get a chargeback they not only block that person from ever buying from you again, but they also block that person from ever using CCBill again!
I don't have an account personally but had a sub account when I was with realgirlsoncam.
Do they ever give that $750 deposit back? I should get set up with them when I get some extra cash.
I have considered it, Kylea, yes!
I read through CCBill's site at length and it seems great. However, I also wish to sign up with them in one fell swoop, so to speak, and, upon signing, pay the $750 up front instead of adding it later or involving any partners in my account at this stage.
I wager that I'll have both options up and running by January or March at the latest. As it is the holiday season, I want to keep it in mind, but hold my purse.
I've still got a LOT of holiday gift purchases to make! And am STILL waiting for a few other payments to come in through different forms of pay from the sites I'm on. This is only one month or so in for me, with webcamming, so I want to make sure I take a little bit of time and read alllll the fine print (limitations, guarantees, risks, penalties, etc).
Thank you, though, and I do like ccbill's up-front and straightforward site. I also have a Tax ID and an entertainment business license/corporation which I've had for awhile.
I just like how with Alert, Visa is already included and registration only took, literally, about 10 minutes after verifying data.
I'm still designing my "store" for my site and it isn't live yet. Alert will let me invoice payments immediately if I get any sales from existing customers for my items for sale and a visa customer won't pose a problem.
For ccbill, there is a small turn-around time where they go through your entire site first and then you get full approval. Which would be fine, if I had a store page in place already!
Keep in mind, I'm doing this all by myself and just researching the heck out of every little detail before proceeding. It's a nit-picky habit I get in regards to solo ventures.
im not paying 700. I just cant see myself doing that. ID feel im working free for a week. I guess its a mind thing.
ticketsclub.com
They do adult processing and have different options from free to a full setup depending on what you want to do with your payment gateway etc. It takes 2-3 days to setup.
