Re: webcam vs video camera
You just need to go into your settings, and turn off the 'auto-focus'. ;-) I loooove my 9000!!!

Re: webcam vs video camera
I have a logitech orbit that does pan, tilt and zoom through a interface that you have to leave open in order to use it, but it's really not that hard once you get used to it. The other option is to go with a ptz security cam with remote and those seem to be pretty expensive. Around 850 bucks, last time I looked, as for the orbit, you can find it online for under 100. I am not sure how long it will last, but considering you can buy 8 of them for the price of the other it kind of make sense....
If you google "tracker cam" you can find a ptz platform that uses the 9000 as its cam. I am not sure if the remote works with the zoom on the cam, it may just be the pan and tilt... These I think sell for about 250.....
As for the problem your having now, make sure you have it set to manual focus. I know if mine is on auto it goes fuzzy then clear too. Just a thought......
Re: webcam vs video camera

I would recommend a camera that records to mini-DV tapes. Record all your shows on the tape and save them. You may some day want to open a website and those shows are great content for it.
So good that Vanessa actually took 10 of the chats and put them out on DVD...
