Typical financial planners earn a cut of anything they get you to buy, so they have a vested interest in selling you a product or service that may not be what you really need.
I would advise you to do the research and leg work to put yourself in a position to make informed decisions yourself.
You could write out your assets, income, liabilities, debts, and financial goals, and go pay a local accountant (someone in your neighbourhood) to give you an hour of paid advice on improving/organizing your financial situation.
Also, there are some fairly well informed people on this site, but you'd have to give a clearer picture of your situation.
ETA: Do you have an older relative in your life that you can talk freely to?

while HockeyBobby is correct about 'caveat emptor' ... if you don't have 'financial wisdom in the family' your best bet is probably to seek out a local CPA that specializes in small businesses.
