Can't use alertpay for a while!
They sent me this e-mail after I switched my site from viviti to my own site, so I had buttons on my other site- but because this is a different site, I had to resubmit everything and this is what they said:
Thank you for contacting AlertPay. My name is Pamela and I am happy to assist you.
I have looked into your account and can confirm that your website was temporarily declined as we are not able to support your business at this time. While AlertPay does allow Adult websites for both product and service, we have currently placed all Adult applications on hold as we finalize internal business agreements with our banking partners to allow more Adult content.
Please note that we have placed you on our adult hold waiting list. This list will be contacted in the near future for boarding.
Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding this matter.
Kind regards,
Pamela

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
Has anyone else had a problem with alertpay??? Or is this just for new sites?
-
Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
They're saying that they will again, but for now they are doing some business transaction that is putting this on hold- but now we can't accept payments through our sites/buttons- i dont know if maybe you can still use the wallet feature? I hope so!

Damn! Because I did have buttons on my site about 4 months ago, and was able to accept payments- but as soon as I created a new site and submitted the info, they threw that crap at me! Ugh. :'(

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
That HAS to be annoying, especially when your trying to run your business!

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
well hopefully they hurry up with the business agreements so you can get you site approved . sucks :( if you had a previous site with buttons can you use that one for now?

No, I can't use the previous site anymore because it was hosted with viviti, and once they found out it had adult material, they sent me an e-mail saying they couldn't host me anymore.. so I bought my own domain and hosting, and now I can't accept payments... so I'm like wtf do I do now? I'm going to try to figure out how the wallet feature works, and if
a customer can just put money in his alertpay wallet and do a transfer.. I hope it works. If not, I'm screwed.. although I did apply for ccbill a while back and got accepted- I guess I may have to try to figure that whole thing out, too. Just another day...:D

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
Yes. You just have to use the "send money" or "request money" features rather than website buttons. You can still accept money for your cam business, just not through pay buttons on your site ;-)

Yes, and I discovered ifyou use the 'Send Invoice" rather than a request. they can pay directly with their credit card without even having to join Alertpay so it's more convenient for customers.
(It will still give them the option to join but they do not have to).

^Yep. Just like with paypal, you can send an invoice and they can pay with credit card without having to setup an account. It's a convenient way to charge for cam time :)

Can I add- From my experience with them , this is not the case - Once a website has been placed on hold or rejected , the client can no longer use their services for any credit card payment -
What I mean is , the guy can load his account from bank ( wait several days for it to complete ) and send you money , but if they try and send credit card funds - a message that this alertpay user does not accept credit card payments will pop up -
Basically after the website is denied , the services of theirs you can use do not revert to normal , or back to the 'send' 'request' ideal , no cc will be allowed -
This is from my experience, perhaps Supaboych had a different experience after having a website rejected. I know for myself and 3 friends , we were all banned from accepting any credit card payments on the account and have been since !

Yep. When you click Request Money you can find it in your account under the tab "email invoice".

Yikes!
My site was rejected and I can still send invoices and accept credit cards with payment requests. (Just not with a button).
This was a couple months ago when I had submitted my site.
So you can't even click on Request Money and send them an email invoice? I actually like that better than clickable buttons so I don't have to do refunds for guys who click and I am not available at that time.
Now if I make a mistake and do a Payment Request thing it does make them add a bank account and all that stuff, but email invoice is totally different.

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
I had only tried requesting funds with email -... not the email invoice thing .... I am going to try the email invoice first thing ! Very exciting, .... Thank you !

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
WHAT?! Ugh, I seriously *just* finished making like twenty different buttons for my new site and I had so many issues with the html code and trying to make it look good on my site... and now we can't use them!?
-
Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
I just looked at the Email Invoice thing too - why does it ask you to put in your address and phone number??
-
Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
I think you can choose *no address... Hopefully Laurie will be around to confirm .
I'm going to test this in the morning. Can't wait .

yes, just choose "No address" - the address is only if you are using it to ship stuff for some other type of biz. For the phone number I have a google voice # i use for my business#.
Then just fill it in with quantity 1, cam show or whatever you wish to put in there and voila, there you go :). I suggest trying it out with a friend or even sending a practice invoice to another email to try it out before you use it with a customer.

Re: Can't use alertpay for a while!
I tried this out earlier , cool, it worked .
Thanks very much for this .

Hmmm... I had a guy say he was able to just put his credit card info in there and didn't have to join. It took his payment. It did give him the option to join but didn't force him to.
I hope they havent' changed it now.
