Just Smile!
As a new dancer, I SEROUSLY need to work on my hustling techniques and this forum has been a world of help for me!
BUT-- One thing I've noticed that helps MORE THAN ANYTHING yet I haven't seen it posted here yet is, quite simply,
SMILE!
Like, ALL the time! Smile until your face hurts like hell and then smile some more!
I can't count the number of times I've had men come to my stage or approach me on the floor or tell me when I sit with them that they absolutely LOVE my smile and they couldn't help but notice that I'm the ONLY GIRL in the WHOLE PLACE who looks like she ENJOYS HER JOB!
I've won over WAY more lap dances with my smile and personality than with my body alone.

Re: Just Smile!
Agreed. Customers generally go to the club looking for a good time, and nothing says fun like a smile.

Re: Just Smile!
I think if you smile too much it looks like you're trying too hard, and this is why. It would really be quite difficult to literally hold a smile for hours on end, so at some part you relax your facial muscles. When girls dance on stage and go through the whole "smile big!", relax, "smile big!", relax routine it looks fake and like they are 'trying too hard'.
I think a genuine smile when you are approaching people, making eye contact on stage, a sly grin during a sexy lap dance, or a hearty laugh at a funny joke is appropriate... but smiling ALL the time makes you look kind of creepy.
I think what is more important is looking confident, walking tall, shoulders back, good posture, speaking articulately, having a good vocabulary, firm handshake, matching voice tone/style of speech of customer, matching clothes, thinking fast on your feet, asking open ended questions, and MOST IMPORTANTLY...identifying the customer's wants and then tailoring your hustle to give the illusion of 'fulfilling them'.
I hope this helps!

Re: Just Smile!
though it looks weird to smile ALL the time I usually smile with my eyes or if I'm sitting I try to look as content as possible. when I'm on the floor if I make eye contact with anyone, even another dancer, I smile. it makes you look friendly and it's a good habit to get into even if it feels awkward at first. you'll always make more money if you are happy or pretending to be happy. if I'm in a bad mood I'll literally sit in a chair and just think "I'm happy I'm happy I'm happy" until I can fake it convincingly enough to talk to a person.

Re: Just Smile!
i agree, some girls have a REALLY fake looking smile when it's forced.
work on looking natural with your smiles, and do it all the time.
i always smile during my stage sets, and i get compliments on my smile all the time, LOTS of guys notice. :)

Re: Just Smile!
We have one girl (who nobody likesactually, as she poaches clients) who smiles all the time, but there's nothing in her eyes, she looks so vacant its just creepy. She's like a cabbage patch kid or something.

Re: Just Smile!
I think smiling all the time is great for your money! I don't "fake" smile though. I love being up on stage with all attention on me, and when I'm on the floor, I just make sure I think happy thoughts that make me smile most of the time. If you notice you are getting annoyed, think about kittens or a funny joke, anything to get a real, honest to goodness smile on your face.

Re: Just Smile!
I think it's completely true that smiling really helps and makes you stand out. I'm pretty much the only girl at my club who smiles all the time. I can't even count the number of times a guy has told me he was attracted by my gorgeous smile or told me that I have such a better attitude than other girls they've talked to.
It probably would look creepy to fake it. I'm trying to actually have a good time, and I think a lot of the girls are just trying to get through the night... It's probably not so much about the smile on your face as the attitude behind it.
