Thanks @cams_eli for a workable solution.
Turning off buzz mode until a member enters in the room does have the appropriate sound effects.
Last night it worked out. I was able to test it out and still earn something from buzz mode.

I made more money in paid chat than taking private shows here today. I'm not complaining at all, just super odd vs what I'm used to.
Thanks for listening! :DQuote:
Free Member Activity in Model Rooms
4/26/2019
Dear models,
We recently implemented a change that allows free members with a “$0” balance to remain in Free Chat. We’ve reviewed the statistics and listened to your concerns, and while we saw an overall increase in model earnings resulting from this change, we also found many cases of rude or disruptive behavior from these members.
We are currently working on more robust tools to help models circumvent these issues; in the meantime, we have decided to reinstate your ability to block free members from chat. This change goes into effect immediately. If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].
Thanks,
The Cams.com Team
Is anyone using the blog feature for their fan club? I know it won't give me more organic traffic, but do guys like it enough to increase fanclub sales?
^^^ evidently even after all this time on SW I haven't figured out how to use the quote feature :D.
We do listen to model feedback. :) We can't act on every single request, but when enough models lodge a complaint, it does carry weight in the team discussions. Thank you to everyone who weighed in with your experiences! Please keep it up!
As I've always said, Cams.com doesn't make money unless YOU the models make money. Let us know what would help make you more profitable!
Twitter: @camsdotcom or @streamray, email: [email protected] or [email protected], or here.
What about the fact you pretty much took everything away from models to the point you can't do anything but sit there and stare at the screen. You took away the ability for us to see how much money each member has you took away all the sounds and you made it so you cant block people with no money from chatting witch you just recently gave back. You guys need to be ok with the fact that cam models work multiple sites at once and stop removing features that make it more difficult for models to do that. You take features away you lose models like you lost me. Your sites traffic situation has gotten worse and worse over the years and you have a male running the head of model relations that gives horrible advice and changes his mind on what is and what isnt allowed in free chat every other week. We need features that allow us to work productively and we need someone making the rules thats more stable and who actually understands what we go thru .
Thank you for the feedback! We have reversed our decision about muting empty-wallet viewers, and you can now block them from chatting again. It is up to you and you can easily flip that on and off to experiment with what works best for you and your workflow.
I'm not sure which staff member you're talking about, but I'm concerned about what seems to be conflicting information that you've been given about free chat rules. Have you been able to clarify the situation yet? If not, please feel free to shoot me a direct message here or on twitter and I'll do my best to answer your questions.
We definitely still have sounds. I'm not sure what you're referring to here.
We did change how we display the amount of money currently in a member's wallet. The old display was resulting in too many models ignoring or even outright abusing members with little or no funds, which of course is bad for everyone's business. The goal is to entertain people and entice them to spend more money, not to offend them and get them to leave the site.
Happy Monday!
Happy Thursday! I hope everyone is having a great summer!
We are working on some amazing upgrades over at Cams.com that will make the cam experience smoother than ever. Very exciting stuff :)
In the meantime, if you have any tech issues or other concerns or just questions, feel free to contact me here or at [email protected], or through our twitter account @camsdotcom.
Have a great day!
Just wondering, I'm assuming that they sent the same email to everyone but I wonder if it says the same dollar amount in every ones email or if everyone else has different amounts?
Here's what mine says::toldoff:
Yesterday, you kicked or banned 1 user on the site.
These members went on to spend $46.50 on other performers.
I blocked the jack ass cause he wanted to know if I had ever castrated an animal, sick fucker!
A few camgirl friends of mine and I proved that was bullshit while i was still camming there. We all got the same email, and I as well as a few of them even got them during longer breaks (a week off or so). LOL. I actually got one of those 3 weeks after leaving the site (kept my profile active still).
I had that guy - he wanted me to talk to him about microwaving insects and stepping on mice. I was like, dude - you have SERIOUS issues. That's sociopathic behavior.... Creepy AF!
^^^I no longer cam on Cams because of the lack of traffic but that email is disgusting. Its gaslighting/emotional abusive. Models shouldn't be shamed or manipulated into dealing with customers that they don't want to deal with. They should be able to kick and banned people when and why ever they see fit. Those types of emails should not be sent out. For someone to even think that models should be reprimanded over kicking someone out of their room and then on top of that smearing the amount of what that person spent in models faces is really gross and pathetic but to actually put that into action is just wow. The fact that someone on the staff thought that was ok and then actually approved it really shows Cams true colors imo. Gaslighting/emotional abusing/manipulating models is not ok.
I agree, only reasoned I've stayed with them is because I used to have several good regulars and even had a whale from there but the site and traffic is going down hill for a while now. I was gone for 4 months and lost several good regulars.
I don't like the way they run things either but I split cam and have them running in the back but I was mad when they sent me that email, they treat models like shit!
Does anyone know if Cams is planning a new broadcaster for when Flash is discontinued like the SMConnect? I've never managed to figure out OBS. I need something where I can hit a button and stream lol.
These messages of a member you kicked out spent X amount of money. is really psychology abusive.
Just sent feedback this is not supportive and it is controlling and abusive.
I don't know what is going on with cams but this behaviors is damaging . This is now the 3rd message I've gotten about someone XYZ member is spending , good they are spending but I do not need to be reminded of what I felt was a boundary pushing member in my room behavious.
We take a lot of emotional abuse as it is with this job. I do not need more.
Exactly. I PM Eli how these messages are just emotionally damaging.
No other website does this.
so I don't know what they do in that board room but this is just not even a healthy place to work for anymore. Has me thinking a lot of things especially with my history of working with them for so many years.
some of them want to role play incest or a minor. which is already against the rules the some idiot comes in the room wanting it.
Hi folks!
Sorry, it looks like I'm a bit behind here. I'll try to answer the questions I see here. If I missed one, please let me know!
Broadcaster: We recommend using OBS for now. FMLE is no longer being supported by Adobe. We have been planning ahead for the final move away from Flash, as that has been public knowledge for over a year. If you need assistance working with OBS or getting it configured, we are happy to help! You can contact me directly, or use the Live Support button in the broadcaster to request help.
Emails about blocked members: We have heard a lot of feedback on these emails, and are seriously considering ending them. They were initially sent out to discourage models from abusing the block feature. We had several who were blocking members simply for having empty wallets or for other very minor transgressions. The intent was to show them the money they were missing by blocking these people. The intent was never to encourage models to put up with abusive behaviour, and we are very sorry that's how the emails are being perceived. We are having a team meeting on this in the next few days to decide whether to stop sending these emails. In the meantime, please feel free to ignore them if they bother you. We never intended to do harm. Sorry, all. :(
