dancing with no hair
So i have been getting a lot of compliments on my hair, but i don't know how men in a stripclub would feel about it. It's short, like a fade. I have an ok body, I've gained a little weight so now I'm probably about 135, used to be 125....i'm trying to move into a small one bedroom for me and my daughter and my waitressing job just isn't cutting it. i make on avg about 800-1000 a month. Any insight on this?

Re: dancing with no hair
There are girls I dance with who have short hair who bank, and girls with short hair who don't. As long as you're confident in the fact that you look good, that'll shine through. You may have to hustle a bit harder and play around with different looks to see what works best for you and strikes a good balance with the short hair, but you can definitely still do well with short hair. It's just like having colourful hair, tattoos, being bigger, being pale, or any other traits that aren't stereotypically hot. If you can work it, you'll be fine.

Re: dancing with no hair
There was a point in growing out my mohawk where I just shaved it off to grow everything out together. I did just fine...
However... when I first started dancing and had very short hair I didn't do well at all.
In short... when I had better hustling skills, short hair didn't cause a problem... when my hustle was sub-par it did.
But that's just my personal experience. ;D

Re: dancing with no hair
it worked for Amber Rose...
lol I know she's just one girl and you're not her.. but I think it would work fine if you have confidence in yourself and don't worry about it being something that could hold you back. as the saying goes: "different strokes for different folks" & men love so many diff kinds!.. good luck :-)

Re: dancing with no hair
A lot of women can work the short hair really well. Men seem to really love long, luscious locks, but if sexy woman with a cute pixie cut walks up he wouldn't say no if her hustle is strong and she has a good body. Don't let something as small as your hair cut in the way of you trying out for stripping. Men like ALL types, short hair included. If you're really insecure about it you can buy and wig when you start making more $$$, but you shouldn't need it.
As you already have a job, I would say to try dancing in addition to your waitressing - start off about 2 nights a week for a month and see if you like it and if you're making money off it. It could be a good way to supplement your money from your waitressing job without having to dance full time. Good luck!

Re: dancing with no hair
The only way to know for sure is to try it... if it works for you.. great..if not you can always invest in a wig or hair extensions until it grows out more..God knows you wouldnt be the first dancer with fake hair!

Re: dancing with no hair
men love long hair but in some instances, it doesn't matter....see avi.

Re: dancing with no hair
I would definately say get a wig or some clip in hair estensions. I've danced with shoulder length hair and long hair and I made more in every club with longer hair. I know everyone is different and different styles suit different faces, but as you are new to dancing it would be easier to start out with longer hair.

Re: dancing with no hair
There is a girl in my club with Amber Rose-like hair and she does not seem to do very well. However, our club is also an upscale gown club. My advice would be to bring your best hustle, be confident, and find a club that appreciates your look. Or just get a wig.

Re: dancing with no hair
I've heard so many customers mumble "Dyke" or "Scared of that one" type comments. I think super short hair will hurt business for the most part. Then again, I live in TX so perhaps rednecks are skewing the opinion here.
I'd bet money that you would make more with a wig.

Re: dancing with no hair
^^ Actually that is true. There was a girl at my old club with super short hair (1 inch), and whenever she was on stage all the guys used to say, 'why does she have no hair, it doesn't look good'. I've had loads of guys say they don't like short hair because to them its not feminine. I personally like short hair on girls, but I've never seen a girl do well with it in the clubs. I actually used to work at a club that wouldn't even hire you if you had short hair.

Re: dancing with no hair
Short hair is not for everyone. Unless you have a verrrrry pretty face naturally dont do it.
