Another bodyrub how-to thread
So you want to be a bodyrub provider .. where do you start?
You want to have a very professional setting so your clients can keep coming back.
I'll show you how to do it. :)
What you'll need
1.) Massage oil (Whatever you do, DO NOT GET WARMING OIL, OUCH!)
2.)A massage table (Craigslist baby! I got mine for less than $150)
3.)Sheets for massage table (You can get the disposable ones or regular sheets
and wash them as you go)
4.)Towels (Buy a pack of 5 to start, remember you want to keep
your investment low, when you start making money you can buy more, don't forget handtowels ;))
5.)Portable cd player with soft music (I love Sade and so do a lot of my clients.. her cd is $8-$12)
6.)Tracfone or google voice (Trac phone does not require you to give your
real info to sign up neither does google voice but google voice has to link to
a phone.. is that phone using your real info? if so, don't bother with google voice.
7.)A website (optional but recommended) I will get to this later.
Note: Ok I left out something I know... I know.. I left out listerine mouthwash, bodywash, bar soap, airfreshner, .... make sure your client has everything he need to feel comfy.
Why did I leave those out? Well are you going to offer a bathroom for your clients to use before and after the massage... If you are.. go to walmart and get these things in travel size. Get 5 of each to begin with.. as your client base grows buy more (Look at this as an investment)
Your website: You have a few options but I highly recommend wordpress. Buy a hosting account and install wordpress and build your site that way. If you don't have money for the hosting account get a blogger account, I can show you some blogger sites I've designed and I'm a dumbass when it comes to html but i know how to blogger :).
If you don't know how to design a website without making it look sloppy on blogger then contact me I'll offer my services free of charge including installing your contact form. If you want to look "high-end" without paying top dollar/for free.. shoot me a pm. I can help there.
Photos- First of all, the camera phone in the bathroom pic is tacky so trash that. The photos with you and your aunt nancy is cute but it's tacky for this so trash that. If you want good photos at an affordable rate you have two options: 1.) Buy a digital camera and a tripod from walmart and take your own (Don't forget lighting, lighting, lighting.. if you don't know how to do this then contact a photographer. 2.) Time for prints- It's been mentioned on this website before. Get on onemodelplace or modelmayhem and see if a photographer is willing to trade services.
Quote:
Your rates- You can charge as low as $20-$60 for an hour but who are you going to get? Everyone and anyone.. ew! You want to get set your rates where you'll attract people clean, decent people. I say $80 for 30 minutes and up. Start low and increase as you build your clientele.
Advertising - Before you go and start buying an eros, cityvibe and backpage ad. Do this! Google your city and bodyrubs. I'm currently in Atlanta so I'm going to go to google and type in "Atlanta bodyrubs" and "Bodyrubs in Atlanta". The first site that pops up is Eros, the next site is creative loafing/Backpage and the next site is Cityvibe. Those sites are all in the front pages of google so buy your ads there! Do not buy ads anywhere else until you get feedback from your clients.
A good maketing strategy is to ask them where they found you. If everyone is saying they found you on eros then invest more in eros. If you're not getting anyone from backpage (which I highly doubt you'll have this problem) then don't advertise there.
Where are you going to host your clients? Are you going to have them come to you ? (Incall) or will you be going to them? (Outcall). Whatever you do, DO NOT USE YOUR OWN HOME! Look into suite style hotels like Residence inn Marriott, The Whitney Hotel, Hilton suites., Your other option is to rent a vacation home/condo on VRBO or you can lease another apartment for $500-600 a month. It will pay for itself in no time. It did for me. If you're going to a client's home make sure you do not go anywhere after 8pm and have a call-in/call-out buddy. Also make sure that it's an upscale neighborhood/or hotel. Good luck!
Oh and don't forget if you're going to be doing outcall or working from a hotel or even traveling.. you'll want a portable massage table. I won't advise giving bed massages. It could give them the wrong idea.

Re: Another bodyrub how-to thread
can you learn a good amount from books about body rub?
how do you guys typically dress? topless?
do you use gloves/ condoms?
im also assuming that having a static in call location w/ body rub is different from the precautions you would take from escorting?
Re: Another bodyrub how-to thread
If you use gloves or condoms the guys will laugh at you. If you have a cut on your hand use nuskin or take the day off. But they won't dig you using gloves at all. You might maybe get by with a condom, but doubtful.
The best way to learn to massage is to get one. You can learn from books and videos but I suggest going out and getting a few massages at day spas. You don't have to massage just like a pro when doing rubs, most men are not looking for therapeutic techniques from a bodyrub girl. But you will actually get to FEEL what your client will feel when you go get a massage.
I would dress sexy but nothing over the top. A sexy top and a some tight sexy jeans. Same as I would for escorting or even just going out. He wants to see you look cute, but you don't wanna scream "WHORE" either. I would wear some cute lingerie underneath to strip down to. Whether you get topless or naked is up to you and not always necessary. Remember you will most likely get oil/lotion on your clothes, so don't wear anything too expensive/special.
Precautions would not be any different than escorting. You still have a real live horny man coming to see you. Why wouldn't you take proper precautions?
Re: Another bodyrub how-to thread
Fiendish Gyrator, there is no reason why you can't go anywhere after 8PM. That is just her personal preference.
I have taken plenty of clients late on outcalls.
It is up to you what you feel safe with and what cut off time makes you feel safe. For some people that means 8PM.
IMO, a psycho can kill you after 8PM or during the daytime just as well. Makes no diff. Psychos don't clock in at 8PM and clock out in the AM. They live and breath 24/7.
Re: Another bodyrub how-to thread
Heck I prefer not to see guys after 8pm myself. It\'s a preference for damn sure. I also don\'t do outcalls for massage or escorting.
Outcalls for newbies can be very dangerous.
Re: Another bodyrub how-to thread
^^^This is true. Newbies may not want to tackle outcalls at all.
I did it for yrs so it doesn't bother me.
I think it just really boils down to personal preference and what each person feels safe with. I woud NOT take a call after 8PM whether it be incall or out if the guy sounded like a weirdo or tipped me off with several red flags. But I WOULD with a regular or in a situation where I felt fine with such as going downtown to an upscale hotel with valet around 10PM knowing that hotel was probably booked up with a professional conference such as dentists, doctors, etc...
But really, outcalls are just a general pain in the ass whether you are new or not. Waste of time driving, waste of gas, having to look for address, dragging your stuff across town, etc.
Re: Another bodyrub how-to thread
Awesome tips but there's some that need to be address because it causes some concern. Since I can't be independent at the moment being a total newbie and massage paroles are out the question since they often get busted alot. What about partnership with another independent or a few (under 3 girls) to form a studio? And how do you go about finding them? I've looked on backpage and a few other sites and I don't see anyone advertising that their looking for partnership. Any suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated!!
