Chicago club application process
Now its been awhile since i auditioned for a club in chicago...however has things really changed that there are no longer auditions? as in you can't just walk in and fill out something and go audition and they say yes or no? went to like 4 clubs last nite and all of them was like you fill out an app and we will call you for an interview.. or is that the new form of rejection? as in you no longer have to dance half naked then get off for them to say well call you...?
and for those that have done it.. which resume do you email? your regular job searching resume? or a list of all the clubs you've worked at and dates and such?
please someone enlighten me...
Re: Chicago club application process
which clubs did you go to?
Re: Chicago club application process
atlantis*, 390,the factory, and pink monkey...
*was soo looking forward to working at atlantis.. we will see..
Re: Chicago club application process
oh ok ive worked special events at atlantis like their aniversary parties..didnt have to audition or apply as i knew some girls there, where im at now its kind of luck of the draw if we need girl when you show up, right now is kind of a slow season and with allstars burned down alot of the clubs has plenty of girls, if you dont get any calls back id try again in a couple weeks, youre sure to get something. Usually hiring is on the spot.
Re: Chicago club application process
have you tried pole katz? they usually keep a high volume of girls so they may hire easier
Re: Chicago club application process
Some clubs did this many years ago so I am not surprised it's gotten worse. One club you had to come in and fill out the application with your photo attached. If this was going on 10 years ago I am not surprised it's going on.
Re: Chicago club application process

I work in Chicago. It usually doesn't work that way. They always have you fill out an app, but they also will just hire you or audition you. I think this might be rejection or it could be just because your hitting our city at the worst time of year (alot of us go to other cities or what not to work in the wintertime -so money is kinda tight around here).
I work at the Admiral. Give them a try -we're usually always hiring. Amateur contest is every Thursday. Good Luck.
Re: Chicago club application process
the admiral is cool. been there a couple times.. last time i did their amateur nite proved some things to me, and im no longer doing amateur nites..unless i got that mighty ol hook up like i saw every1 else had.. idk im a straight forward person..i take my work seriously so why should i in essence play a game to get a job...esp a game where the cards are already stacked against me.. but thats just the way i think lol

Re: Chicago club application process
I have an audition at the pink monkey this week. All I did was went on their website and emailed them, she asked me for my resume and some photos. I sent them and she told me to come in for an audition.

Your resume should always be customized to the job you are applying for. While clubs might be interested in previous sales skills, most wouldn't care about jobs related to computers, your ability to clean, etc. Therefore it's better to list your goal, skills, & previous experiences relating directly to the clubs. You can list your average dances per night, percentage increases within a given period of time, other ways you helped the club (promos?), experience selling: table, private dances, champagne rooms, etc. Also a list of the clubs, addresses, phone number, & person to contact.
