Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
Here in PA its kinda a moot point since tipping is mandatory. But back in Albuquerque, I don't get tipped alot, I sell a shitload of dances. Here in PA I sell a shitload of CR's. }:D
Interesting sidenote: Black guys love to throw a shitload of money onstage, but they rarely buy dances from ANYONE. black, white, green, skinny, fat, I seldom see them buy dances
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
Dances, totally. Actually-- VIP for me, but that's just how I roll, b*tches.
There have been a few times on stage where I'll squeeze 20$ out, but usually it's between 1-10 dollars.
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
On stage... When the young black guys come in I can easily make 200-300 in one stage set
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
young black guys never get dances. the only black guys I've ever sold a dance too were like 40 or older
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
I use to make more money on stage, but were haveing a slow season so I'm selling more dances. There are some african guys that come in and ill make over a hundred on stage sets.
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
Stage tipping isn't the norm here. Every so often (like really late on a Friday/Saturday night or if there's a bachelor party) a dude will lay down on the stage with a bill on his mouth, but that's about it. Our lowest bill denomination is $5 though, so I guess that has something to do with it. I make all my money from dances.
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
Dances for sure... We have lame tippers 'round these parts. Although I have gotten a $50 and I've gotten a $100 bill a few times onstage.. Those were just flukes though ;)
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
Dances.. VIP.. although I make enough on stage usually to cover my house fees/tip out.
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
at this new club i'm working, stage and dances are about equal for me, which is weird.
in Atlanta, I made more on stage than dancing
at other clubs in Texas, I sold WAY more dances, tipping was nonexistent. :(
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
My club changed over the past year. I used to make all my money from dances and rarely do VIP, but this year I'm barely doing dances at all but having looooads of VIPs. Maybe because this year we have more VIP booths and the system is much more efficient (no faffing around hoping there's a room available)
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
Dances amd CR. hardly ever stages
Re: Stage money vs dances: Which do you bank off of?
Dances/VIP. I don't do stage at either of the clubs that I work at because the profits aren't significant enough for me to take time off the floor.
I've only worked at one club where I average over $200 on stage per night but then again you're on stage for seven-ten songs.
