Re: So here goes nothing :)
Have you visited these clubs recreationally? When I started dancing I went as a customer and scoped them out. It gives you a feel for how the girls and management are and allows you to get familiar with the place before the pressure is on.
If you're nervous it will show. Be as relaxed as you can. If you do start to feel anxiety, just slow down.
Re: So here goes nothing :)
Thanks for the good advice. The first club Im going to try has an easy audition (i call it easy but what do I know). All I have to do is show up, meet the manager, and show him my goodies, lol. This is the club I want to work at the most. I was a custy a few times at the other club I'm interested in but it had changed names since I have been least so I'm not sure how things are there any more. I have a girl on the inside (thanks grungeglam :) at the first club so I am the most confident going there first. I hope I will get hired there and not have to worry about the other one at all.
Re: So here goes nothing :)
Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
Re: So here goes nothing :)
My audition consisted of: Put on clothes, dance for the manager and housemom for about fifteen seconds, take off clothes, dance another fifteen seconds, "Can you start tonight?"
Re: So here goes nothing :)
SparkyBunny, you got so lucky with your audition! Congrats on it going to well!! I'm most nervous about my body. My stomach to be exact. I'm pretty toned all over and propertional but my last pregnancy that left me a horrible stretch mark under my bellybutton. Im hoping its only bad to me since I know its there lol.
Re: So here goes nothing :)
Have you found a good club to call home?
Many mommies are worried about their bodies, but it doesn't seem to matter much. Most clubs have colored lights so that "imperfections" don't show. Men who go to clubs regularly also seem to be more understanding about what the female body looks like than those that spend all their time watching doctored images of women. Don't let it concern you.
Re: So here goes nothing :)
Good luck! I got thrown up onstage for my audition. Fortunately, I'm not shy. But I would have been more down with just having to undress! That does sound easier to me. If all you're worried about is a stretch mark, you'll be FINE.
