Re: On stage performance!
For about three months I completely forgot the first trick I learned.
The brain does funny things.
Dance at home to the songs you dance to at work. Find moves that fit certain parts of a song. That way when you hear a part coming up you know to do that move.
Feeling sexy comes from within. I like to say snarky things in my head while I'm doing moves. I pick one customer who seems particularly dick-ish and pretend I'm doing it just to show him what he can't have. Remember that you're a sexy beast and they're lucky to have a chance to see you!
Re: On stage performance!
^ Yeah, the best thing is to practice to the same music you dance to. Seriously, you start timing certain tricks or moves with certain parts of the song, and it becomes second nature.
Re: On stage performance!
Maybe try doing it one move at a time? I find I'm the same way when I try and switch up my stage show too much with a bunch of new moves. I totally forget about them and how to transition so I revert back to the same moves I always do. I've had luck with incorporating them in one shift at a time, maybe even give it two shifts so you really get the first new move down pat before introducing a second. It'll take longer, but you'll really get the moves down solid and be more fluid in your transitions that way, I think.
It's totally okay if you don't feel sexy spreading your legs or anything. Lots of girls don't do those kind of moves, and that's fine. Personally, I'm not the biggest fan. Sometimes I will, just because I have long legs and that's a huge selling point for me, so spreading my legs really highlights how long they are. Depends on my mood though. Do the moves that make you feel sexy and show off your best features because they'll come off as sexy, and that's what'll make you money.
