Talking bad about customers
So, admittedly I'm brand new to this (I've worked 3 shifts over the last 10 days) in a fully nude strip club. For the most part, the other girls seem nice, and one in particular has kinda been showing me things that are important to know.
It's a pretty divey place, kinda has a reputation of a biker club and some of the girls will do about anything to make a buck, but they do seem to be the minority.
One thing I've noticed there, and I'm not sure if this is the norm or not, but everytime I'm in the girls area touching up or whatever, the girls are all talking crap about the guys. I have yet to hear someone say something nice about a customer.
I don't get it? Why are they like that?
My experiences so far have been freaking awesome, and even though I'm new I've come home each night with between 200-300 dollars. And I've had a stellar time even just sitting and chatting with the customers and not doing lap dances.
If they hate it so much, why keep doing it?
Re: Talking bad about customers
You really are new aren't you? :) I do this job because I make more in one night than I would working a regular job. It doesn't mean that I like all aspects of it.
Re: Talking bad about customers
Yes lol I am quite new, but I chose to be a stripper because I am a very sexual woman to begin with, and I actually enjoy being stared at/lusted after. I know there are bad parts to the job (like the guy who snuck his zipper down when I was doing a lap dance) but most of the customers don't seem like bad people, they're just out looking to have a good time and relax a bit.
Re: Talking bad about customers
Its not always that they're bad or disgusting, but after you've done this a while it gets repetitive having the same conversations and being asked the same questions over and over and over again. I'll smile sweetly and be nice to the guys but I'm going to vent my frustrations to the other girls when I get the chance.
If I get a particularly interesting or fun or sweet (or hot) guy I'll rave about him though.
Re: Talking bad about customers
Some girls get really jaded after being in the industry for a long time (heck, some get jaded after a short time!) because of the customers they've come into contact with and because of how much the industry has changed. Many clubs went have transitioned over time from being no contact to high mileage lapdances where extras are the norm, and if a girl has danced throughout this change, her view of customers who want and expect that is probably going to be negative. Over your dancing career, you will certainly encounter some bad apples who paint a bleak picture of males. Some girls have an attitude that can brush them off, and some focus on that and it just makes them bitter towards all customers right from the get-go.
If you're doing well and enjoying your customers, then that's a good thing. Spend as little time as possible in the dressing room listening to girls bitching about customers and keep hustling. They'll just bring you down.

I completely agree.
OP, at every club dancers talk about customers but I've seen this anywhere I've worked, whether dancing or not. However strip clubs tend to bring out the worst in people so it's more obvious. It can make anyone jaded because of this. I personally went through a period (mostly early on) where I assumed all men I met just wanted me because of my looks and it frustrated me, even if this wasn't true. I mean I've even met guys in clubs who liked me because of my personality and not much on my looks (this is true of older men). I've met guys I would have dated in other circumstances likely and other guys I would have slapped outside the club. The sad reality is you'll find more guys you'd like to slap versus guys you'd want to date. The fact is a naked woman will bring out the stupidity of many men.
Re: Talking bad about customers
Lots of dancers like to sit in the back and bitch all night. That's fine! More money on the floor for the hustlers!

You will meet some of the smartest most interesting amazing guys in the world and you will also meet some of the biggest dirtbags imaginable. Some of the guys will be super good looking and successful. Some will be nice guys who are not. And some will be really mean vindictive scary guys. This job will change your outlook on life because you will meet a lot of guys. You will learn more about life and a wide variety of people in a few years, than most people will in a lifetime.
