Using godaddy for solo sites
Has anyone made their own adult site using godaddy? I was thinking about doing this... although i'm not sure how hard/easy it might be. I know it will take a lot of work, I did a little research and it seems as though they have it so you can build your own site step by step. I'm wondering how i'll have credit cards processed though if I have a member section set up. I know paypal doesn't accept adult oriented credit card processing. Also i'm not sure how i'd drive traffic to my site quite yet. Anyone have any advice? Thanks!
Re: Using godaddy for solo sites
I was going to (and probably still will) start a website, and did some research into domain hosting, etc. A lot of people liked GoDaddy, but I did see some complaints so I went with Hostgator for the domain names. I was very happy with the way they worked. I still have the two domain names, will probably gear up at least one of them in the next 6 months or so.

Lots of people are leaving Go Daddy in protest right now because the CEO kills elephants.
Re: Using godaddy for solo sites
I was with GoDaddy for 2 years. I impulse bought my domain there when I had no clue what I really even needed it for, just because as a camming newbie I kept reading it's good to own your name. About a year ago I built a somewhat decent site using their Website Tonight. It was *alright* I guess. Fast forward to now... I hate GoDaddy and about one week ago switched to HostGator and it is MUCH better. GoDaddy is very slow, their interface is a nightmare to work with, and I spent so much time trying to fix issues with my site going down in the middle of my working on it! They also want to charge you for "Whois" name privacy protection... on HG it's free. If you add more domains to your GoDaddy account, you have to purchase separate hosting for each one. On HG, you can add many sites to one hosting account. And HG has this awesome live chat feature where people are on 100% of the time to help. Like 100 people. I've never had to wait for help. GoDaddy is slow with the help.
I'm no expert at any of this but I've come a long way since I first started camming. I do NOT recommend GoDaddy AT ALL. But since I've only got them and HG and Blogger to compare them to (don't use Blogger if you want Zombaio either), take my opinion with a grain of salt. Just my $.02.

I use GatorHost and it is has been great for about 10 dollars a month I have everything I need. I started with GoDaddy years ago too but it was so complicated compared to GatorHost for me. Also the support was really awful.

Just spotted this while searching. I actually have the registration page at godaddy open right now. Pressing the big red X button thanks to your note above :D Will try hostgator instead.

I was planning to move to Arvixe because I have another site hosted there anyway. Now I have even more reason to get it done.
