Okay, when you say flatbush ave, do you mean as in east new york? Should i just get off at a certain subway stop and wander around?
Thanks for your help. God, i feel so retardedly suburban.

also r you willing to go to queens? youll prob find more things
Forget Brooklyn. The stores on Flatbush that would sell dancewear aren't worth your trip. The ones I've seen sell skimpy clothes for the nightclubs with a few real stripper outfits thrown in.
The only dancewear store I've seen focused on costumes and didn't even sell shoes.
Have you tried exploring the 23rd St area in the city? Some of those stores sell the leg avenue box types outfits for cheaper than you would get elsewhere. I can't remember about shoes because I buy all mine online. Even though those are wholesale shops, many will let you buy without the seller license if you buy a minimum amount.
Just stick to Queens since they do barter over price with you, you may get a deal.
Is there no one you can ride to Long Island or to Jersey with to check out the big stores they have there?
PleasureVictim, which stores in Jersey are you referring to?
pssss...heres a secret..tic tac toe on 161 w 4th in lower manhattan. Hella cute shit, not dirt cheap but not rediculously over priced either.
I wanna know too! I always go to Tic Tac Toe, or buy online (hint, try shoes on in the stores at w4th St and then go buy them online at half the price). Now that I've moved out of Manhattan I don't think I'll make it to Queens ... but where are the stripper stores in Jersey?! :-D
i do that too! i try my stuff on first then go online...tic toe is pretty cool though for 2 set pieces and skirts . if youre looking mostly for gowns and dresses there's some good stuff in empire erotica/exotica by herald square. they also have thongs and random outfits there and if you say youre a dancer you get a 10% discount. not super cheap but it was convenient when i worked in gown clubs.
