Need some sympathy
So in the past two months, I have gained about 10lbs, maybe more. I've been tired, sore, can't digest food right, and am breaking out and am so irritable. I am thinking it's my thryoid. I was diagnosed about 3 years ago with Hypothyroidism, and haven't had my medication changed in that time. So to deal with the excessive weight gain, I am trying to work out more and eat more healthfully, but I am sooo tired and sore it's hard to do.
I am getting my bloodwork checked, etc, next week.
But none of my family is taking it seriously, and think I am over-reacting about it. I can't blame them-other than my husband, no one knows what I do for a living. But still, that much weight and all these problems and they just laugh it off saying I am getting older, that's what happens? My husband sympathizes, but he would think I am beautiful weighing 200lbs and wearing a burlap sack.
Arrgghh.... I just need to vent to some people who can understand. I really hope it is just my thryoid levels, so that it can be managed. Because if not, I really think im going to snap.

Re: Need some sympathy
Thank goodness you have such a loving, understanding husband!
Congrats on eating a healthful diet and working out--while it may not be the means to correct your situation, it sure never hurts.
Good luck with your blood tests next week!

Re: Need some sympathy
Awww...hun. You'll be fine. Just stay positive...stressing will make things worst.
I have problems with my gallbladder, along with scoliosis. Last time I spent 7 hours in the emergency while they ran all kinds of tests and poked me so many times with needles that I started to cry. Eventually I'm going to have to get my gallbladder removed AND take physical therapy because my scoliosis has gotten worse.
I know it seems rough and the thought of something being wrong is scary. But remember that through everything, it's going to be okay. Like I said, just stay positive about it. You will be just fine. *hugs*

Re: Need some sympathy
First thing is get your blood work done because if your thyroid is the problem no amount of exercise or dieting will help. It sounds like you need your t3 & t4 increased.

Unbelieveable, that's what I think. I'm seriously hoping that's all it is...

Hang in there. Definitely get to the doctor and find out what's going on with your body. This is temporary. I am sure the weight gain and other symptoms are hard with dancing, but you will get through this.
And btw...what a sweet hubby :)
