if you were an edcuated woman, and im assuming you are :) then you would know all factors are based on a 1200calorie diet is the maximum anyone should consume on a regular diet, because thats how much your body can metabolize per day. if your trying to lose weight then you need to consume less than your body metabolize. My mother, who is a certified personal trainer & nutritionist, along with my personal trainer, and my college P.E. class all have the same answer. 3 different resources, all saying the same thing. your body only metabolizes 1200 cal a day.

Wow.... No. The maximum ANYONE should consume a day is 1200 calories?!?!?!?!?!!?!? Are you serious? What about professional athletes? Do you honestly think that EVERYONE regardless of height, weight, body fat percentage, and time spent working out only burns 1200 calories a day? I poop every day, always have. Laxatives, eye drops, nasal spray, etc....cause the body to become dependant. You take them 3 times a day for a week.....tell me about how miserable you will be on day 8 when you cut it off.

Thats so weird, I wonder why when I'm pulling 12 hour shifts, working my ass off, I'm able to eat multiple servings of enchiladas and pizza and 2-4 dark beers without gaining any weight, whereas when I sit on my ass all day and eat the same food and drink the same beer I gain 5 lbs in a week. Any educated women out there that can answer this for me? I can't for the life of me figure it out.

For the record, 1400 calories per day worked for me specifically. 5'4, was about 125 and 27% body fat. Yup. In 2 months, I was about 117-118, 17% body fat. Some muscle was lost but not too much, hence the small fluctuation in weight. SO....whomever you are, YMMV. But this type of baseline worked for me, guided by a professional.
I need to get back there now, but it not worth being miserble today AND fucking up the future to look a little thinner. I still made excellent money as a stripper weighing 125 and 112.

^Maybe 1200 calories if you're body is completely at rest, or you are an inactive person.
Most diet books, nutritionists, etc, will tell you that eating between 1000-1150 is like borderline anorexic. 1200 calories a day is the MINIMUM an average woman with less than moderate exercise should eat.

Wow. This is news to me. Maybe you and your mother should inform Michael Phelps too. Cuz holy fuck, he's consuming about 12,000 calories per day! But what would he know? He is only an Olympic gold medalist... ::)

..and as soon as you eat something "normal" you WILL gain all the weight back because your body has been in starvation mode. Supplements like Quick Trim are also not good for you.
Want to lose weight: eat lean meats and LOTS of vegetables, no sugar (not even fruit) and whole grains ans work out. There is not way to lose a good amount of weight and not do cardio and light weight training.

This type of bullshit is exactly why the U.S. is a nation full of fatties. I'm sorry, but to the OP - you are delusional. What "works" for you is awful for your body. You will not be able to maintain your weight loss (unhealthy as it was) on this regimen. Your body is a machine...it needs fuel and nutrients to operate correctly.
You're information is completely wrong. I'm not sure where you're getting it from, but I can GUARANTEE that there is NO scientific evidence backing your statements. If there are, please link the PUBLISHED, credible studies....

Because of the amount of training he does and the amount of muscle he need to build, I don't know if 12,000 is the exact amount though.
Anyway, when I was a soldier and we were training, we were educated on this and we had to over the recommended amount because of the sweat and work that we did.
But if you stare yourself, you WILL gain all of that weight back and more. It is an evolutionary response that humans have adapted if they are starving. And you are NOT burning fat, it just water weight and muscle that your body is losing. Ever saw a flabby skinny girl with no tone? Yeah.:O

the fact alone that this is labeled a "disorder" by the medical community should be enough to state that this is not a scientifically sound diet. you are saying that your mom, personal trainer, and college support this diet that you admit to be a pro-ana diet.... any college that promotes a pro-ana diet is clearly not one that should be accredited, a personal trainer who advocates anorexia and punching yourself in the stomach to relieve hunger pangs really needs to be fired, and if your mom is a nutritionist and actually backs this diet.... yea.
i mean for christ sake, you listed peanut butter as your source of carbohydrates. apples are carbs, but peanut butter is primarily a fat. there is added sugar but if you are willing to take 2 minutes to look at the nutrition facts on the jar, you will see it is much more so a source of fat than carbs. i dont possibly know how you can be pretending to have scientific sources when you didnt even do this.

Girls, please think very carefully and do your research before taking up a diet like this. There are so many more healthy "diets" out there, and from safer sources and that come with research behind them.
And anyways, for long-term weight loss and maintence, what you really need to do is look at how you eat and your lifestyle, and make a safe life-style and eating change, not a short-term diet.
Please, always do your research and get the real facts first. If in doubt, go to a certified nutritionist with good reviews and results, or a doctor. Please be safe and above all, healthy. Your life isn't worth anything less, even for being thin.

This is a sick thread. So many good posts though that I agree with.
Being that thin is not a good idea for most women. Women are supposed to have extra curves and look like women. By that I am NOT saying being fatties, but there is a difference between being fat and being curvy. Not to mention some bodytypes no matter what they do will never look or be thin. I am a mesmomorph, which means I gain muscle. I look awful being thin but look great when I am toned. Other women are endomorphs or ectomorphs. Ectomorphs are the women who are naturally very slender and this bodytype is the rarest.
One final thing, for those (like the op) who think her idea is great I have two words: Karen Carpenter. The word lost an amazing talent because she believed the lie she was fat and did many of the things the op is suggesting. She's not around now because of it. If you want to join her keep continuing this. Otherwise, you need to see a doctor.

who said that? not me? if you recall correctly, i said, the body metabolizes 1200 calories a day. this is normal, average ammount your body metabolizes if you are completely inactive. all 3 resources have verified this. my mother, trainer, and college professor does not, and will not know about my diet. i dont think diet this is normal or healthy & its no ones business thats involed in my personal life, but mine, but it Works, and Fast. Im not talking about olympians, im talking about strippers who grind cock for a living and want to lose weight. please quote me correctly. this is my advice, this is what works for me. this is my LIFESTYLE. im offering my diet as an option to others who want to lose weight quickly. if you dont like, dont do it. thats because your working moving, burning calories. sitting all day eating enchiladas pizza and beer = way more than 1200 cal, hence not burning the excess calories.
