I could smell the money :(
My rant...
I went to audition at another club today. I feel that my set went very well and as a result I managed to make some decent tips. Also a customer asked if I could do dances for him. However, I didn't get hired. I'm so flipping irritated right now! All I can say to myself is "if that man was at my other club..." I wouldn't be so pissed if management felt that I wasn't catching anyones attention, but I clearly had an audience. End rant.
Re: I could smell the money :(
What can you do?
Did they give you any sort of reason? Best advice, is next time ask if there is anything that you could improve on. It may be just as simple as that they didn't hire you because they already had a girl there that you looked a lot like?
Just get up, dust yourself off, and try again. ;)
Re: I could smell the money :(
You have a point, I didn't think of it that way. Thank you, I'll try again another day.
Re: I could smell the money :(
Did they give you a reason..
I would try back within a month or if your are still interested in the club.
They could be busy with girls, you had a shit manager, something came up, who knows...
Dont feel too bad about it, it happens.
Re: I could smell the money :(
Sometimes it's not a "negative" reason. I had a similar experience to yours: I got turned down at my very first audition even though my set went well and I had several customers come to my stage w/out knowing I was auditioning. The manager told me that I'm hot BUT my look is more "sophisticated and polished" than the girls there and in the past classy looking girls hadn't worked out b/c his customers aren't really looking for the that. He actually recommended that I audition at a specific more upscale club.......which, incidentally, is where I work right now and I love it. 8)
(BTW, I totally respect that manager for being upfront and sending me somewhere more appropriate, rather than hiring me to collect a house fee until I figured out I was in the wrong place. lol!)
Since your audition seemed to go well also, I'm guessing it wasn't a "negative" reason you didn't get hired. Maybe they just have too many girls, right now?
Re: I could smell the money :(
It's possible, I auditioned on the referral of a friend who was recently hired. She may have been at the cut off point of hiring so I didnt get in. I'll try again next month.
