You can take the girl out of the strip club...
...but apparently you can't take the strip club out of the girl.
Hi there ladies. I've been lurking on the site for a few weeks and figured it was about time I said hello.
I was a stripper for just over 14 years and retired a few years back. During my era the clubs and the dancer community were considerably different than they are now, but I figured that I may still have something to contribute to the discussions here from time to to time, so I decided to join. Besides, I MISS you bitches. ;D
During my time ITB I danced, cocktailed, bartended and even served time as a house mom for a while. I also managed to put myself through school and earn two bachelors degrees as well as a JD. I am currently a practicing attorney (so for those of you who are college students, don't get distracted...it CAN be done!)
While I don't regret my career decisions, lately I've been terribly bored in the "real world" and realize that I really do miss some aspects of my former adult industry life; particularly the camraderie (even when there's drama), the attention (I am a complete attention whore!) and the sense of empowerment (yes, I actually feel empowered by being able to get what I want however I choose to do so).
Don't get me wrong, being an attorney has lots of benefits as well (one of those being, well...actual benefits, lol), but I miss enough of my old life that I'm thinking of doing some camming on the side. I thought about going back to one of my old clubs and tending bar a few nights a week, but around here the shifts don't end until 4 or 5am and there's just no way I can do that because of my morning office/courtroom schedule.
Now I know that must sound crazy..."what if you get caught?!" is the first thing that immediately comes to mind. But let me tell you...if some opposing counsel actually had the balls to tell me that he saw me online with a dildo in my pussy I know that I would definitely be able to manipulate that particular case into one hell of a settlement for my client. If my bosses find out, eh, I'd imagine I'd get fired, but that's sort of what makes it exciting, you know?
Anyway, I just wanted to say "hi" and thank all you girls for all of the useful posts that I've already read for those of us who want to start camming. I'm going to be traveling a bit over the next few weeks, but when I come back I'm planning to finally step off the ledge and go live online.
Oh, and if you happen to be having issues with an agent, club owner or other contract situation I can be a pretty handy resource, so PM me. 8) I don't do family or criminal stuff, but might be able to refer you to someone if you have those issues and live in Florida.
Ok, enough of my blabbering. Good luck today ladies! Everyone keep your eyes on the prize!!!! XOXO

Re: You can take the girl out of the strip club...
Welcome to Stripperweb!
That's quite a story, and quite a list of accomplishments.
And yeah--it gets in your blood alright. As fucked up as this business can be, it also delivers one hell of a rush--except on slow nights. I can't handle them anymore. I'm now spoiled rotten, you know? But god knows I did my time in slow little clubs, years ago.
I might have some business for you, actually--I am starting a website with a Ukrainian Webcam model (the site will not have webcam, but it will link to where she will still do them). It's probably going to be softcore only, and definitely no fucking dicks anywhere in there, even if she gets a little naughty with her friends, etc.
But I need to be aware of any problems working with foreign models, what kind of model release forms, etc. So who knows, maybe we could wind up working together?
Re: You can take the girl out of the strip club...
Good to see someone else gets it. :)
Alot of my fellow adult industry retirees think I'm crazy when I talk about missing it, but many of them only worked for a few years and it was always only about the money for them, where for me... not so much. ;) I actually liked my job (most of the time) and used to tell people all the time that if I could have kept stripping until I was 60 I would have (and I'm sure I could find an audience for that online - lol).
I've done some international transactional work in the past, but never anything with an eastern block country. I'm always looking for a new challenge though!
Thanks for the response.
Cheers!

Welcome! Please feel free to post on the legal threads, lol!!
Re: You can take the girl out of the strip club...
Hell yeah girl! Sounds like you have a lot to contribute to our li'l site! We have a number of highly educated women on here, and a shitload of highly intelligent women, so you fit right in!
And I totally hear you about missing the business. Even a month out of working, it was entirely too easy for me to forget about all of the bad nights. I still obsess over thinking about stripping!
Re: You can take the girl out of the strip club...
im kind of surprised that you arent so concerned about "being exposed" during cam or stripping. You dont feel like it will be a problem?
i find your point of view refreshing/ fascinating btw

Not really. I work in a really small firm and my partners know my past. Don't get me wrong, I'm still running a risk of getting caught and fired because of it, but thats part of the thrill. Plus, I have a pretty good client base of my own that would keep me on even if they knew (and some that would even love to brag about it - lol).
It is NOT something I would suggest to younger girls who are finishing their education or just starting out in their careers (if those careers are going to be in a very conservative industry) though.
