How much time do you spend on the floor?
So I worked at a club for a couple weeks that had no pole it was just an old fashioned theater stage, and i was wondering how long you think I should spend on my feet and how much time like down on the floor.
I was just curious because I see people talking about girls who 'crawl around on the floor' and end up looking stupid, and i really dont want to look like that.
But I'm going to start working at another club that actually has a pole, but I have absolutely no experience with a pole so now I'm wondering what I should do. I will probably do alot of posing and holding onto the pole but how much time is good to spend like not on your feet, on the floor?
Re: How much time do you spend on the floor?
I dance standing up for the first song and the first half of the second song. At most, I'll slide down the pole to the floor once during that time period. In the last half of my second song, though, I basically spend all my time on the floor. I do various splits and other bendy stuff very slowly and sensually, and I crawl to transition into some positions. I receive compliments on my floorwork from multiple customers almost every night. The key for me is moving very slowly and getting into positions that make it obvious that I'm capable of every crazy sex position a guy could imagine. For me it's more about suggestion than doing something that would make for great sex but looks stupid. Do not ever put your legs behind your head for the love of God. When I crawl, I again move very slowly, and I make sure my back is always arched and I lean my hips into whichever leg I'm moving and extend it as far as possible. Just glide on your needs, and whatever you do just don't scuttle around like a toddler.

Wait--no pole?!?!?! *gasps* I would die.
Can you do the splits? Guys like that..
I for one would say avoid crawling too much... it just looks bad. (IMO)
Everyone has their own unique way about moving accross the stage..you'll find yours:)
Re: How much time do you spend on the floor?
The last club I was at (the club I'll go back to in a few months :) ) doesn't have a pole on the main stage. It was seriously the most awkward thing in the world to me.
I usually hold on to the pole for dear life..lol
I would dance against the wall a lot, slide down, and crawl to the end of the stage.
I think it worked out okay, especially since there was a fan that would blow your hair.
Definitely gotta do it slow, like a cat or something. (That's what I was told when I first started..kinda stuck in my head)
Reallllly wanna learn how to do the splits, that always seems to be a crowd pleaser.
For me though, I would just kinda dance with my back against the wall, walk/crawl to the end of the stage...mix it up so I didn't look robotic. :P

hahaha i literally laughed out loud when i read this
but yeah i've crawled a tiny bit before and i (hopefully) did it the way you described. I have unfortunately seen other new girls do the toddler crawl that was way too fast and really hard to watch.
but thanks for the advice! :)

Yeah it's definitely different! But that's actually what made me like that club, since I have no clue what to do with a pole yet.
And no I can't do the splits :( What is bad about me is I am not very flexible...which is probably the first thing I need to be if I want to be a good dancer!! So i'm definitely working on that one..
But thanks! :)

Tae up yoga. It'll help flexibilty and fluidity, not to mention it can be a great workout. Watch the other girls and see what they do for ideas. When I first started I bought a huge book of sex positions and flipped through it till I found some that were not only clearly sexual, but that looked good on stage. As a fun FYI, almost none of the positions that fit those two criteria actually worked very well in the bedroom lol.
Re: How much time do you spend on the floor?
I worked at a club with no pole and we weren't allowed to get on the floor. Even when I worked at clubs where we could get on the floor I never did. Can you do floorwork? If you haven't before I have seen some girls that just looked ridiculous rolling around on the floor. If you can do floor work I wouldn't spend more than a quarter of each song on the ground.
