I'm new and looking to start camming :)
Hey everyone,
I found this website yesterday through a blog I was reading on becoming a cam model and I wish I would have found it sooner! I tried camming back in 2007 on ifriends for a short while until I became employed full time at this crappy government job. And well, I found out that I will be unemployed in a few months, but I don't know when exactly that will be yet. I should be finding out more information about that next week. So I'm looking to start supplementing my income now buy starting back into camming. I wish I would have thought about this a few months ago!
I'm currently in a sucky situation where I live at my step dads house, so privacy is limited. Also I need to buy a new cam and I'm hoping to after I get paid this week. I'm hoping to have an apartment by July for more privacy. I just signed up for MFC, mygirlfunds and ifriends. I was wondering what other websites you use that have a good amount of traffic? Tips/suggestions are always appreciated :)
Re: I'm new and looking to start camming :)
Id drop ifriends and sign up for streamate ($) and adultwork (£).
SM is easy to make quick cash on while AW offers a full adult marketplace to advertise your services and products on, it also has a very high % back to the performer.
Re: I'm new and looking to start camming :)
I'm also recommending STREAMATE..many of us do quite well there. I quit Ifriends last year because after 2 years with them, the traffic steadily declined and the tech issues increased (same with ImLive). You can now block geographic locations on Streamate, so that may help with your living situation.
Re: I'm new and looking to start camming :)
Can you post the link of the blog you were reading?
I recomend for starting out myfreecams or streamate or streamray but not ifriends. ifriends has huge secuity wholes in their site and even though they have rebranded themselves I doubt they have fixed their secruity issues.
What webcam do you currently have? as long as it is external from your computer you should be fine using it becuase it's really about setting up your lighting properly.
Your step dad has to go to sleep sometime so you might have to webcam in the middle of the night til mornings. Is it very possible to make money on a decent webcam site anytime of day because there is always models on them every minute of the day. There is times I would work past 3 am and still make $100 by time Ia m ready to go to bed.
Re: I'm new and looking to start camming :)
Honestly MFC is a goldmine to some camgirls including myself. But I wouldn't start out on MFC just bc it's fast paced and a lot to deal w/. I heard tons of horror stories where camgirls that know the ropes and tricks and all on camming can't pull money from MFC to save their life. MFC is a site that needs to be researched not just jumped into. IF that makes sense. If i were u and just starting out w/ the whole camming process..i would definetely try a different site first. Good luck luv and hope it all works out. =)

I seem to hear about these two websites on here alot, so I'm signing up with them now. ;D

I really like the block geographic location options on some of these websites. I'd be a little weary if an old coworker was to log on lol!

I found this website through one of Extra Lunch Money's blog on what cam models really make.
I just bought a new HD cam the other day at Walmart. I believe it is a HP version. I just took it out of the box last night, so I haven't even tried it yet! ::)
My current work schedule restricts much of my time at the moment. I typically work 8-430, but I commute an hour each way. I'm thinking of starting out by going online at 7pm-10pm to start into it. I still have some paperwork I have to finish up with some of the sites, but I figure for now I will try and do this part time. It's still hard to do anything with my stepdad here, and my room is right across from his and he doesn't go to bed until midnight or after! I know once I get my own place again I should be fine.

Thanks! I did sign up for it, but I'm more or less looking at it right now to just learn how others do it on there. I think I'm learning more and more as I keep watching, so I'd rather keep learning from others on that site right now before I jump in.
Re: I'm new and looking to start camming :)
i totally agree - mfc is really hard to do if you are living with other people/have privacy issues, too. i am thinking of trying to go back to it once i get my own place, though. i'd definitely recommend streamate :)
good luck!

Well stars you just have to be a lil creative when your step dad is home. I would say play some music while your working in your room until he might be doing to be so if your working 7 to 12am to start. then stick wiht the schedule.
You could get the locks that are made for bathrooms they lock from the inside. and the do not disturb sign on the handle.
as for the webcam you purchased do you know the model number so I can check it out if there are any reviews of it.
once your online regularly your target of $100 is very possible.

I looked at this and two other sites that were similar and I agree. I'm highly interested but I'd want to also take the time to take advantage of my "new model" time. Maybe in the future :)

Oh and I keep hearing about Daily Pay. What websites include that services. I'd love to get paid daily LOL!
