Is Melbourne busy in winter? I know here in the US, the coldest areas are slow and the warmer regions are a little busier, but not by much. The tropical areas get very busy in spring and Autumn and the colder climates are busy in spring and summer. Winter pretty much bites everywhere in the US, especially in November and December.
Can you work with girls from the states? Do they need any special work visa to come dance in Melbourne? If there is money there in the winter, I think a lot of US girls may be willing to make the trip.
Melbourne is pretty typical work wise of every other temperate region in winter. Work slows down. But that is the same for clubs and privates.
I'm not overloaded with work, but I'll try briefly to explain my situation.
XXXTC was founded at the request of several "veteran" showgirls to stand up and do things right. Anyone who has done private work will be painfully aware of the dirty tricks agents use on their girls and clients. So XXXTC has always had a strict policy of using freelancers only, and they must be professional! XXXTC will not use another agents managements girls. Coke doesn't advertise Pepsi, right?!
Between illness, pregnancy and general "I've had enough I'm retiring", I find my showgirl list heavily depleted.
My most recent large-ish bookings have been very difficult to cover. To tell the truth, I think I've sprouted a few new gray hairs :)
In the past I've worked with club girls, (some of my current girls still do clubwork), and I thought if anyone was interested in picking up a private before they due at the club it could be win-win for all of us. A little extra (guaranteed) money for the girl, and less stress for me covering bookings.
As far as working with girls from the States, I'm not entirely sure how that would work. At least your slow time is our busy time, so they would be sure to get work. Really not sure about visas etc. Technically, under our work laws, the showgirls are independant contractors, I don't employ them. As long as they had a visa to enter the country I'm sure I could find a way to make things work. Is definitely an area I'd like to explore before bucks night season hits again.
Hope that answers your questions Paris, and gives everyone else a better idea of what I'm trying to find.
Wow great information really help to me...
Thank u so much....!
If you're going to work in Australia you need a working visa. If you come through customs and they search you, if they see you with outfits/shoes/business cards to work and you don't have a working visa, they will refuse you entry. It happens all the time.
