A lot of the clubs won't let guys pay the girls in cash for vip. In most of these clubs you have to do 2 vips for free in order to make your house and tip out. Plus you don't make much for vip anymore. It used to be 3 songs for a 100 or half hour for 300 or an hour for 500. Now it's 80 for 3 songs, 180 for half and 240 for an hour. Of course they won't tell you or the custy about all of the fees up front. You will find out the hard way; after the fact. Let's say you're in debt for hundreds and the club sends in a "secret shopper" or one of their friends to pretend like they are a custy. They agree to do a vip with you. You just did that vip for no money because they will take it.
Some of the clubs that allow guys to pay cash will try to steal your money by saying we will hold it for you. If a guy pays with credit card they will wait til you are done with your vip and tell you to come back for your $ cause "they don't want to do a financial transaction in front of the custy." When you go back to get your money they will keep saying come back then eventually they will tell you that the signatures don't match so they need to hold your $ for 90 days. In other words you just got scammed.
Most of these clubs put girls on stage constantly even when there are no custys tipping at all. They will also hook up certain girls with custys right off the bat, so you have no chance of making a sale. Then they want you to go on stage and take off your clothes to keep these customers entertained for free. Even though you have no chance of making a sale because they are already hooked up.
I have known girls who have been charged hundreds for leaving early because they were injured at work or had to leave early to go to the emergency room.
You will have no protection from bouncers at all. The only thing they do is say give me your money bitch. Because there is no longer any law requiring bouncers and club owners to take responsibility for what happens in the club, guys will grab all over you for $20 dances. They will even grab at your p#s%) - aka attempted rape. No bouncer will say or do anything.
Plus they arrest a lot of girls out here on a regular basis. Be very careful about what you say to the custy because it could be an undercover. They will arrest 90 girls at one club in one day. Some actually are hookers or try to rip guys off by saying they will do anything. Just be aware.
Most house moms are 300 pound pan handlers who bring in crappy super fattening food that no dancer would eat anyways. They demand payment whether you eat their crap or not. (I have no problem with paying someone who does something to help and there are a few good house moms, but very few.)
So now you know what dancing in Vegas is for real. If you decide to check it out anyways - who knows - maybe you will get lucky. It's possible.
You would probably be better off staying at a weekly like Desert Tides on the west side of the strip. Full kitchen washer and dryer. ? 300 a week?
pimps and managers pretending to be strippers go ahead - flame away, flame away
Loren's post presented POSSIBILITIES and examples and you, trishaxxxo, hysterically flipped it into "OMG OMG DONT COME TO VEGAS ALL KINDS OF HORRIBLE THINGS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU". She didn't say anything close to that. You did. Is it her fault you went batshit over her well intentioned and well founded reply.

She was being sarcastic. She didn't make shit up she just shared what she knows as a vet of Vegas clubs. You've worked a week or two and have jumped on her ass like you know the scene inside and out but you list more top clubs you couldn't get into than could. You're less qualified to throw down on this subject than you think. It's cool to be supportive but not to lead people to possible slaughter by shutting down people with more practical experience and knowledge. Just my opinion on it. ;)
You can check out the experiences and opinions of others who've worked Vegas and get an eyeful of the crap they pull there that is so uniquely Vegas. Most people would much rather share the story of the $3,000 night than the times they left owing the club and share how the manager loves them rather than how they were bumped for not tipping enough to the pimps--I mean, bouncers.
Re: Going to Vegas with family to dance?
I don't know you, so please don't take offense...
I know several girls who worked in Vegas and they are all bombshell types. While they had fun and made money they said it was not easy. At Sapphire you might be competeing with over 100 girls per night. I think I'm attractive women, an 8 I suppose, and I wouldn't have dreamed working in Vegas unless I was a 10. At least not at any of the clubs I would want to work at.
Good idea on the lease option! Hotels can be very pricey or very disgusting, plus you'll be able to cook.
I agree about not bringing your family. Why not try it out for 2 weeks? The plane ticket is only a few hundresd $$; and if you find that we were wrong you could always fly your hubby and kid out later.
Re: Going to Vegas with family to dance?
^ That sounds like a really good idea.

That was a huge club and it has created a big glut in the market.

If we're gonna play the bold game Optimist, here are all the un-maybe un-hypotheticals.
Ive been here working here for a month, not a week, and i understand thats not a long time, but enough to get some experiences. I also have many friends who have traveled here, and have made friends now that have danced here for years, and I am basing my opinions on their words/stories which I trust more.
I really just dont think Vegas is any worse than dancing in any other big city. as I said before we work in a hazardous industry and all girls should be careful EVERYWHERE, but there is no need to turn girls away from Vegas saying it is extra super dangerous.

I thought the saracasm was blatantly obvious.
Do you really think I would be dumb enough to post ANY details about myself after making the statements that I made? Do you know how many lawsuits are happening here against the "big Vegas strip clubs"?
zoloft effexor give me more. reality is not comfortable. I like the comfortable flouride haze.
Now walk to the end of the hall and bend over.

I'm not even sure what "the bold game is". I use the bold effect so you can see the statements I want to highlight among the others. How else would you know what I was referring to?
As for the time you've been there I, and many other girls who've worked Vegas, still have you beat. I believe you really think you are qualified to comment based on nearly no knowledge. You have to understand that you opened yourself up for criticism because you want to blather on aggressively and ignorantly. That's how it is on message boards. Your opinion is up for debate and I and others have found you woefully uninformed./:O

Re: Going to Vegas with family to dance?
first of all., LOREN- when i asked you why so bitter- I was referring you mocking me, being sarcastic and being a smart ass towards my opinions instead of respectfully disagreeing.
i have an idea for you bitter strippers. go apply for a job at burger king.
Re: Going to Vegas with family to dance?
If you dont agree with the rules, dont appreciate the business, or dont know how to play the game maybe you should look else where instead of constantly pouting and bitching about life. Hhow about find another job?? Nobody is forcing you to do ANYTHING! Most of you bitter strippers would make more money working at Wal Mart anyway because you guys are so negative that you more than likely make $50 a night profit.
This is a very lucrative business and no- I don't do extras, I was never pimped or scammed or whatever the hell you crazies are talking about. It's not the business, its HOW you do business. Respect yourself and nobody would find a window of opportunity to take advantage of you.
These comments are so ridiculous and Loren, you are so rude. You are constantly bashing people who don't agree with you instead of being respectful- another huge sign that you're one of those bitter strippers.
Re: Going to Vegas with family to dance?
If girls want to come to Vegas, let them come to Vegas. This is one thing about this board I never understood. Regardless if it's slow season or not or despite expensive house fees and fees from VIP, if you know how to make money, you will make money. I know Vegas girls will argue about out of town girls taking customers but this really isn't so. Let these girls see for themselves. No need to be wasting time writing out long posts and arguing over BS.
Re: Going to Vegas with family to dance?
But the cost of flying/driving/hotel/sheriff's card/having to eat out, etc...can really cut into profit, particularly if its a slow time. Most girls are better off staying at home.
Vegas is the only place I've danced where I've sat in a club for literally 4 hours without being able to get a single dance because the place was chock full of girls, and a handful of custies that enjoyed the desperation and didn't spend a dime. The money was good, but the few slow times I went through were truly miserable.
Re: Going to Vegas with family to dance?
I worked crazy horse too in summer in 2001, when it was booming here. It sucked THEN to dance in summer. $1000 a night to crap all. I would avoid it at all costs these days. Im getting in top shape for later in the year so I can have a shot at the best clubs. Why be pissed off and over it by the time it picks up. Makes no sense.
