Anybody knows any good photographers in the CT/ MA/ NY area??
Hi there girls!! I joined that site " Model Brigade" because I had joined at Model Mayhem before and for some reason they cancelled my account or rejected my pics, it was a long time ago so I don t remember exactly what happened.
I ve been contacted by a couple guys but with all the crazy people out there nowaways I m very scared to meet up with any of them..
Of course the day I decide to do I ll bring a friend with me ( it s gonna have to be another cam girl friend from here probably cause my other friends don t know what i do and I don t want them to know..lol not yet at least...haha
Then also some weird horny guy contacted and it was obvious he hooks up with the models he shoots and i m not NOT into that at all... he even confessed to be desperate..lol so u can imagine..haha
Anyways, I hope any of my CT girls here r reading, and if u can recommend me some photographer I can trust who will take decent pics and won t try to hit on me.. I would really appreciate it.
I know in order for the pics to come out good I need to feel comfortable and safe so that s why i m asking for advice or info since i ve never done a professional photo shoot before.
Thanks in advance!!

ModelMayhem are pretty strict with criteria. Just try again. I'm listed on there and get quite a few jobs from it :) Also Purestorm. To be honest though, i wouldn't do a nude or erotic shoot straight off the bat with a photographer I just met. Instead, do a normal shoot or two with them first, sound them out. Or you could just get a boyfriend or friend to take pics for you. Or, as many girls on here, take your own :)

Mel
I am planning on setting something up with Scott Church if you want to meet up and road trip to Lebanon, PA with me. I wouldn't mind doing a few G/G shots with you, either. I am in NJ.

Hi there!! I was looking at his pics, he has some great ones!
R u gonna do time for prints or u r paying him??
Maybe we could arrange something and go, the thing is I cannot drive yet, have to get my license ( i m in the process of becoming a US permanent resident and i need a couple more things before I can get my driver s license..
When do u think u r gonna the photo shoot?
Keep me posted :) maybe we can go together.

If you are doing trades (TFP or TFCD) ask the photographer if you can bring a personal assistant & be upfront about the fact that you don't have your driver's license. This lets them know that the person coming is driving you, & you can say that they will help you with outfit changes or make-up. Have the person bring a book though so they stay out of the photographer's way once he/she begins taking the photos. Some pro photographers are okay with assistants, & some are not. Some will specify that its fine as long as the assistant is female, because otherwise models often show up with husbands or boyfriends & suddenly eyes start darting at each other which changes dynamics of the photoshoot to be less comfortable.
If you are paying a photographer then you have the right to bring whomever you want with you to the photoshoot. However, you need to be aware that you need to work with the photographer in advance & in writing to know what you will receive from the photoshoot. For example, some photographers charge a sitting fee to take the photos & then you pay for editing & prints separate that are for personal (non-commercial) use. If you plan to use the images for a website or to advertise be upfront about that so that they can give you the correct prices & you don't have to deal with problems later.
This list is pretty good:

Its by far not a complete list of the best photographers around, & it is out-dated, but can still be useful.
Just google the photographers name & contact about 5 models that have worked with the person in advance. Try to get at least 3 models to contact you back with good references before working with anyone. Keep in mind that no photographer will refer you to a model whom they know would give them a bad reference, & sometimes you need to hear both sides of the story, but google is a good place to start for finding out about any potential problems with photographers.

Thanks a lot girl!!
Yes i mean, i ve never done a photo shoot before but I know it s full of horny guys pretending to be photographers when all they want is to have some " naughty fun" putting it in a nice way..lol
Like that guy that contacted me on model brigade, gosh u could smell his desperation from a couple lines he wrote... he said something like " your body turns me on".... can i see your cam?? lol would u come here if i pay for the expenses ( he s in Lousiana and I m in CT...lol) so u can imagine..... i was straight forward and told him " there s no way i ll let u take pics of me, it s obvious u wanna get laid, i m not looking for that, i just want some pro pics taken",,, and the admitted he was desperate lol so...
I ll check that list that u told me, let s see if i find someone normal.
THanks for the info!
